The LM passes Austin with a 4-helper set. Only the last two helpers are online. Met by an eastbound empty grainer. First time out with this camera so a bit rough with the zoom.
Always loved the echo of the horns here, watched this in all three versions in less than 10 years. Also caught one of the very oddball horizontal ribbed cars at 11:43
@@ScottHiddelston Thank you for your reply. Gosh, that's some kit you have now. I can see where the video quality comes from apart from your own expertise. How many years is the mortgage to pay for all that! Good luck from Northern Ireland. Michael.
Nice! Get the MRL while available. Was talking to an MRL engineer, and he figures that the 4300's will not last long after BNSF absorbs MRL. They are not acceptable to BNSF as lead qualified units due to the cab. It will be sad to see them go.
You may be right but all the SD-70Ace's, except for a couple of the later units, were added to the back end of the BNSF SD-70Ace order 15 years ago. So the units are similar in their setup's to BNSF SD-70Ace's. The units can be easily upgraded to BNSF current requirements if need be. I'm sure EMD can make that happen!
