Meet Laura, the mother of three beautiful children: Brynn, Brooklynn, and Christian. Her daughters are both on the Autism Spectrum, and she is committed to giving them the help and support they need to thrive daily.
A typical day presents many challenges in her family, and with the support from Barlow, an Autism service dog, she will be able to mitigate unwanted behaviors, create calm after emotional meltdowns, relieve symptoms of stress and anxiety, and help socialize with peers.
"We have not taken a family vacation in... I can't tell you how long. Probably never have! So, I am really looking forward to [a trip]." -says Laura.

At Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines, we transform lives through partnerships with service dogs. We breed, raise, and train guide dogs for individuals who are blind/visually impaired and service dogs for veterans and children with autism. We also place facility dogs with professionals in hospitals, schools, and courtrooms. Our highly skilled canines become trusted companions that increase people’s confidence, mobility, and independence.
