Are the judges who made this ruling in 1980 dead or alive? I presume that they are dead. They have no authority to prevent the dissemination of God's Word, or to decide how all subsequent generations must live. Times are always changing. As in no one may force or designate a mandatory religion in a public school system, or workplace in means of indoctrination or forced practice. The ruling was made based on the Constitution. And while the roster may have changed, the ruling stands, and was rejected for reconsideration in 2017. You are free to believe and practice whatever you choose. But we do not teach any establishment of religion in public school, that is done at home or in church. America is not a theocracy, and we do not have a designated/ mandated religion. Now as I understand you're not an American, so I don't expect you to be familiar with the inner workings of our system, but I would suggest that you learned them before making such an assertion. Now despite your obvious disagreement, our personal opinions are moot when it comes to the Constitution and the ruling of our SCOTUS is final unless they choose to reconsider.

I think this issue is widely misunderstood, among atheistis and agnostics who wish to promote their own agenda of cultural domination. Essentially they are interpretation 'separation' as a mandate to SUPPRESS the Church. Many political regimes since the Roman Empire have done likewise in varying degrees. An extreme example today would be that of North Korea, where it is illegal to be a Christian and those found out are sent to concentration camps. One might criticize, however, the proliferation noxious and even criminal cults in America,which religious liberty has permitted. Americans did not have an 'established church' like the Anglican in England, the Lutheran in Scandinavia, the Catholic in France, etc. etc The founders sought to preserve liberty of conscience in worship, NOT LEAST to protect immigrants from Europe against the DENOMINATIONAL persecution to which many had been subject in the 'old countries'. This policy also capitalized on the gains of the Non-Conformist movement in England, lending DIVERSITY to the menu of options available to Christians. One might even say that 'separation' in this sense paved the way for modern-day Christian consumerism. But the key poin is common to many immigrant communities which have put down roots in America. Formerly marginalized Christian groups. like the Pilgrims or Puritans, were able to thrive in the new environment under a policy which showed no favoritism, officially at least, toward any group. State neutrality was geared to provide a level playing field for Christians; for the various world religions, not so much, not in 18th-c. America. 2. The REVIVAL of the 1730s and 1740s had spanned the Atlantic and. besides raising the profile of Protestant Christianity, led to moral improvements in many people's lives. As Jesus said, 'you will know them by their fruits.' as the century progressed, the Abolitionist movement began slowly to take shape, also on both side sof the Atlantic, with a strong evangelical Christian component. One ought to remember, America was NOT isolated in the world. The English had already had a Revolution to depose its monarchy, back in the 1640s, but that experiment had failed. What I am suggesting however, is that the American founders did NOT conceive a Constitutional repulic out of thin air, without any precedent. A lot of the more radical Protestants in England had been hard-line opponents of Monarchy. 3. During the so-called Age of Enlightenment, a doctrine called DEISM had great appeal among the intelligentsia. Indeed we know that some of the American founders were Deists, and probably Freemasons as well, because of the Masonic imagery on US currency. I would describe Deism as sub-Christian in content, because whie it does include belief in God as creator and Sustainer of the universe, it has nothing systematic or substantial to say about His character or purposes. However the Bible records evidence of God's activity in human history, sometimes in minute detail. Anyone who has read the Old Testament historical books, which are distinguished from the poetic or prophetic writings by their literary STYLE, must recognize the absurdity of the claim that these events were all fabricated. It helps to have a good general education as a prereqiosote for understanding the Bible. On the other hand, reading it is a prequisite to having a good general education.

The ancient Israelites practiced animal sacrifices, also prescribed by the Law of Moses, which contains 613 laws, not just the Ten. Can you imagine how hard it is to keep 613 laws? And according to Jesus, transgressions of thought are also sins. So if we were judged by our performance, our case would be hopeless. But as jesus said, He did not come to call the righteous, but sinners. In the contest, 'righteous' seems to mean, 'those who thought of themselves as righteous'. So yeah, we know what Trump is like, and no one is obligated to vote for him. But I still support the idea of putting up the Ten Commandments on walss. i've never seen it done before. I think it's very progressive move---progressive in the real sense, not as defined by political pundits.

Even those who can recite have probably broken all of them, at least mentally, by sometime in the second decade of life, some much earlier. The last one, since it concerns inner thoughts and desires, is almost impossible to keep, and also provides an entry point into all other kinds of transgression. Even idolatry is intimately connected with greed. Trump makes very litle effort to hide his greed. What I don't understand is the double standard which many apply.
