Actress Lauren London spoke at the memorial service for her longtime boyfriend, rapper Nipsey Hussle. The service took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Turning a memorial of such a tragic passing into a powerful, uplifting, and hopeful speech is so badass. We all know Nipsey wouldn't have had it any other way. So awesome.
This man is something. He's loved by a lot of people. I could feel the love of these people for this man, and their sadness for his passing. May he rest in peace.
Yes we are! If at all there is anything I could ever do for her or the kids I will. I don't know them personally but their loss is our loss, their pain is our pain, and their healing will be our healing. We will keep Nipsey alive in a loving way so that his little boy knows he was love(d) and loved him. GOD BLESS the entire family.

I know many kids who would come to school after losing a parent or being sexual abuse and you would of never known. They didn't cry, didn't scream, didn't always acted out, but they were quiet. When people hearts have become so cold the only evidence they need to see to leave you alone are tears. Nothing ever comes over them to stop until they see you physically beaten down. Rather this is real or not, just take a easy on people and yourself going forward. This is a general comment not pertaining to the vid.

The worth and dignity of a soul is measured by what it delights in! My prayers go out to the family of this young man. God knows that they will need His Grace to move forward outside of loosing their minds. This goes to show that our lives have to be oriented around a greater happiness than what can be achieved thru spouse, children, friends, sex, material possessions, etc. All these things are good gifts given from God, but they will ultimately let us down and eventually be ripped away from us... either in life, in death, or by death. We need a happiness that will never abandon us. So what if what the bible says is true? That God is so valuable and so satisfying that the most loving thing He could do for us is to exalt Himself as God, and that He is the only being in the universe for whom self-exaltation is the highest virtue. What if all of our deepest desires are satisfied in the ONE who sent His Son to bring us to Him. And that the Gospel is the good news that sinners like us can delight in this Holy God. Then God's commitment to be glorified and our goal to be satisfied would not be at odds but come to simultaneous consumation in the worship of His Son... who took upon Himself the Wrath that God had towards us in our sinful disregard of Him. A wrath that could never be appeased through man-made religion. What if Jesus didn't die to turn the world into a paradise, but died so that we could stop seeking paradise in this broken world... A world where temporal things such as beauty, popularity, family, money, sex, racial identity, gender reassignment... could never truly satisfy. BECAUSE WE WERE MADE FOR SO MUCH MORE! What if we were made to gaze intently into the Eternal Beauty of a Majestic King, Father, and God... What if Jesus is the incarnation of this all satisfying God I speak of. Then all those who trusted in the promises of Jesus, no matter how tragic their lives were, could honestly say... Life is hard, God is good, Glory is coming What if what the Bible says is true... not a fan of rap music. Never heard of Nipsey until March 31 this year. I'm not in tears, but he apparently tried to help the community. That's good to hear. Now, if we can get this same kind of energy OUTSIDE of the rap community, we wouldn't have to worry about this type of violence so much having such a grand effect.

You can tell she was really proud of Nipsey and loved him "beyond this earth" ...I admire Laurens strength, shes truly an inspiration in her own right because shes hardworking, intelligent and drivin and I can tell shes very family oriented. Lauren I can only image the grief and pain that you felt at the time of your companion's departure but all things passes from our spirit in due time which is God's timing. Nipsey played his role as a mate to you to the fullest he gave you his best so hold tight to those precious memories and cherish them forever. Lauren he left a part of him here in the earth through his son and I'm sure he will do a lot of things that will be a constant reminder of Nipsey. I want to say that I have seen you in quite a few movies but "This Christmas" is a definite favorite of mine, your acting skills are superb. My sister sow some of your time talking to God about your hurt He is not only a healer and a deliverer but He will remove the unneeded agony and stress out of your life. I love Lauren & I admire, look up to her for being such a strong woman ❤ I really didn't follow Nipsey Hussle or was a fan but after his passing I listened to his music, did some research & it's such a shame I wasn't a fan nor followed his career while he was still alive. I only saw him in those lovey dovey post/pictures with Lauren that are shared on Facebook. Rest In Paradise Nipsey 🙏👼 May he be remembered for helping his community, for his music, for everything he stood for & accomplished. Praying for Lauren, his children, family & friends. Hope everyone receives the closure needed one way or another eventually.
