I like it, and I like the both of them, but she didn't "make it" anything. That was pretty much a 1:1 attempt at copying the original, save for the last ten seconds.
Yeah, I also love Lauren's voice and music. But despite not being super demanding vocally (range wise), this song is very difficult to cover with the unique, emotive phrasing and tone Gwen Stefani has.
