@@sorenw5916 He definitely will, Anthony Davis won't make it since he's missed so many games, and you could argue the same thing with Paul George. Andrew Wiggins will DEFINITELY not go over Lauri even though the fan voting seems to indicate that.
@@Err443 current voting says otherwise, Andrew Wiggins apparently is over lauri by a lot, and I’m surprised by that. Also Kevon looney is over him as well as Draymond, warriors fan base has so many people voting for them.
@@sorenw5916 Yeah, the fan voting is essentially a popularity contest where big markets do better. But that only accounts for 50% of the votes. No nba coach or player or media representative who has a sound mind would vote any of those guys over Lauri.
Markkanen has always been underutilized, Utah is the first team that has figured out how to use him properly. The Bulls and Cavs never figured out how to utilize his skillset. Instead they pretty much used him as a big who can stretch the floor and that was really it. Markkanen may be 6’11 but he doesn’t have the skillset of a big. Markkanen really is a wing player, he just happens to be a bit taller. His game is actually somewhat similar to Paul George.
Cavs played him at the 3. But because of their lack of shooting once Sexton went down, they needed him doing a lot of spot up. But he got better and better as the season went on playing that super sized wing role in Cleveland. He probably wouldn't be averaging the same raw numbers if he were still there, but he was good and was gonna be even better this year. It's a shame the Cavs couldn't keep him and still get Mitchell (well, shame for the Cavs, good for the rest of the East xD)
@@Nuvendil i also think that he’s showing everyone that he’s a much better player than anyone ever thought he was. The Utah Jazz saw something in him that nobody else did. And as a result they are maximizing his usage.
Well it's his sixth season, so not so early in the career. But the fact that you could probably make as good compilation purely out of this seasons posters is mind boggling 😃
He's alreasy had like 15 this year. Not only should he be an All Star but he should be in the dunk contest. I feel like he has something against poor Vucevic this year though 😂
Best part of Markkanen's game is that he just goes about his business. Not one of these whiney players ( *cough* Luka *cough* Bron) that looks at the refs after E V E R Y S I N G L E P L A Y! And excellent dunks!!!
It is a legit discussion right now as to if the Jazz would trade Lauri back straight up for Spida. He does so much so well, certainly a foundation piece moving forward.
@@kumiankka666 Just conjecture of a potential hypothetical. Jazz are very happy with Lauri, flat out said everyone but Lauri and Kessler are open for trade discussions.
@@kumiankka666 this man says as the Jazz just spent the off season trading their number 1 AND number 2 player. But in all seriousness, they are not trading Markannen
