I've always been amazed how some fandoms believe that small market teams are only there to create star players and send them their way, like they are expecting OKC to trade "SGA for DLo and an open bag of chips"
I could maybe see the Pacers looking at swapping some young players for him given their recent success. Jarace Walker has a lot of upside but didn't get much time there and would probably fit that bill(maaaybe even Mathurin). That's not to say they would go for it, but other smaller market teams might be willing to give up a fair amount given how hard it is to attract stars to a small market.
You're right these rumours are crazy funny in a way😂. The hype says that the warriors, Lakers, philly and OKC are after Lauri. Lauri will extend his contract with Jazz in the early August. I hope Jazz make some smart moves to fasten the rebuilt.
I hope they make those moves as well. I want to see Lauri and company compete next year. The times the Jazz were competitive the past two years, it was really fun but ruined by tanking.
None of these trades are realistic but they funny for sure. I saw one today trading Lauri for picks and Kuminga. Hope to see both JC gone. That is realistic.
IMO, the only way Lauri will get traded is if it becomes painfully obvious that the young players will not develop in time to take advantage of Lauri's prime. That proposed New Orleans trade makes no sense in that the Jazz couldn't make Kessler and Collins work and if Valanciunas stays in NO, you will have a BIG logjam in the frontcout

The team that could realistically give up a couple of 1st round picks for Lauri is the San Antonio Spurs. Just imagine Lauri and Wembanyama together borderline scary. They would play some truly epic basketball and the whole league would be fucked 😂
These trades not happening. Lauri may get traded but trades what you said not gonna do it. Lauri is way more valuable than late 1st round picks. He is 4-5 pick, good 1st round worth + player or players. I hope Lauri get traded, jazz dont be any good anytime soon. I want see Lauri compete and jazz not even try to compete. I lost all faith that Ainge can get anyone really good point guard. There is not that many availiable and those who are dont want come to tanking team. Really good players can pick the team where they play. Not other way around. Why anyone really good want come to jazz? Not gonna happening.
