@Legendinmyownmind75 Better her time be up than she accept mediocrity. That's what 99% do. They chase the high and relevancy and forget the art they fell in love with. They sell out to keep young people happy. If she was to release music as good as Miseducation, anyone not so shallow to put time limits on enjoying a masterpiece will benefit. Everyone else will play catch up or miss out. Fame is not her objective. Creating the best music possible for her is. People want to rush her and listen to crap then tear her down for it instead of waiting for inspiration to hit and allow her to create historical art.
@@Legendinmyownmind75she is a true artist. Not just a singer and rapper. It’s about the project and the quality and real artist know - creation without inspiration isn’t it. She has loyal fans (I love her- passed her music and others down to my daughters, 90s/00s music that I grew up on) With loyal fans there is never a closed window.
@@Legendinmyownmind75If she released a killer album tomorrow, it would be a hit. Because she's a legend, and also because based on this mindset, it's basically a guarantee that it'd be phenomenal. She's an artist's artist, for sure.
Overrated. The hits off the Fugees album we’re all covers, but it wasn’t in the marketing because the record company wanted to make a mint. Her solo career was a flop.
@@thee_caprio if I was a artist I wouldn’t ever give the public music I didn’t write so that’s not an incentive 🎯🎯 and I have no desire to be famous.. (he also played himself ☔️☔️)
@@jilliannotice8852 I hear you bro u can't give people music I didn't write and act like I wrote it that's crazy and that's what she is doing why do you think drake loves her they both don't write their shii
@@debrajames3865 So what. Life doesn't always go according to plan and its experience like she talks about that let's you wise enough to know how much ignorance there is in what people in their 20s say. Surely you know that.
I loved me some Laruyn Hill back in the day. From her chocolate skin to her beautiful voice. I will continue to support her music and whenever she is ready to drop that album I will be ready. #GoodDay
Lauryn hill is timeless first me her momentum still up and running.. these other rappers and r&b celebrities don’t move like her. They just tryna make the next dollar. I know when she pop back out it’s gonna be beautiful !
I love this woman! She’s so inspiring….and that album she made is still the BEST damn hip hop album any woman has ever made…and it’s not debatable. Mad love n respect to the queen Lauren Hill
Yes!! The songs on that album are BOMB!!!! 🤯 The interludes were even better! That whole album was well thought out. When the interludes get you to cry 😢....👌🏿🙌🏿👌🏿🙌🏿👌🏿. Perfecto...👌🏿👌🏿
@@azzanjett1788yea but she acting like 20 years worth of experience AND gets help with writers isnt enough to make an album. She just needs to admit she just doesnt like it anymore
People try to clown Lauryn like she only came out with one studio album(she also has MTV unplugged which is better imho.) however, Lauryn Hill is a quality over quantity artist imo
I totally agree. The Unplugged album is a masterpiece. Yes, her voice wasn’t strong on that day like she noted during the performance, but the lyrics are poetry.
That’s cool but when we talk legends that’s talking a real body of work she has very little to in life her in those topics. But what she did put out was dope. But follow ups and constant work make you great not 1 and done.
Facts I’m dealing with this now if I don’t see new things or go thru any thing it be hard but when I’m going thru something and seeing new thing it comes naturally I got a whole studio and my bed room and don’t record everyday
A couple things I love Ms. Hill to LIFE!! I have watched you from the beginning when u first came onto the scene! YOU, YOUR MUSIC, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR CONVICTION, YOUR HONESTY, YOUR DRIVE. YOUR LOVE……IT’S ALL TO BE RECKONED WITH!!! Always stand for what is right! If by chance you read this I love you and always do what you feel is right! And put a little something behind it you will be fine!! Do ever be pressed to something or anything by anyone!!! Love you Miss Hill🤗🤗🤗💜💜💜🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Just because she is black does not mean she wrote for blacks. I'm not black and I've never thought much about her colour but the beauty of her voice the music and her craft
@@Tman33919 As a creative, you are supposed to make mistakes. all the artists we look up to had songs that didn't work, but because they were putting out stuff consistently we only remember the successes.
In the end she will go down as one of the greats because all she needed to release was one album and yet it is one of the most important albums of all time.
Love you Lauren You’re beautiful, you’re creative, and you will come out with an album when you’re ready and we will be patiently waiting. God bless you and your family and you got a handsome son that is very talented and we love him too.
Or, she could just do "her," as she has! And, reap the success she has, doing less than Tupac, being "her" authentic self, not "his." SMH! People and their carbon-copy thinking, SAD TRULY! 🤷
She doesn't mention or credit many of the collaborators and contributors of that album which is why she could not create something else. It was never fully her vision!
Although I wanna be on the other comments side and just call hou a hater I hate so say after a little research this is so true, most of the album that I grew up loving most of it is stolen just finding out all this information (that's known) is heartbreaking look up the lawsuits behind that album, she stole a lot🥹
@koamiamegnran691 there are unfortunately many artists that have come out against her on this exact point. She screwed the great artists that really made the music and didn't credit them at all. I was a big fan and finding it out was disappointing but it does explain her never matching this album even remotely
@TheRealLaurenHill You Are A Beautiful Woman and you were a major part of my life growing up music wise in the 90s. It was a blessing to watch and listen to a true master at work. 🎉Fugees
I’ve been thinking about this a lot recently! So many people are focused on trying to create something great that they forget that the most beautiful pieces of art stem from human experience.
1st time i heard Lauren Hill i fell in love with her voice. 1st time i heard Misseducation dammm Even my aunt listen hip hop. When she past away i read her diary before anyone else could . I got her c.ds man. There are albums i can't listen too to this day. I break down when i hear them. 7 days time it's her anniversary. Lauren you helped my aunt in her hour of need. I was 18 when you released your album 5 🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤 then 5 mics now. Thank you
As a artist when you can create from what you actually lived through, then can you get others to relate and love what they too have experience!! She doesn't need another album!!💫👑🎤
It took me years of (living and learning, observing and participating) to build up the experience to write certain genres: I had to feel love to write a love song, learn to play and have fun to write pop, get into enough interpersonal conflict to write a rap song about beef, and move to the country to understand the essence of country music… experience also adds to authenticity in that case. All writers should write what they know and what’s personal to them, not just copy themes because they’re catchy sounding
I think she is a disciple of the Sade school of music development. Lauryn, please continue to follow your instincts. You are the beautiful woman you are b/c of it. Peace ❤
That's the exact sentiment I have with every recording artist...either you've been through a lot *edit (something) and are able to artistically articulate it, tell it in a different way/add on perhaps, pull from someone else's experience/speak for someone else in a respectful way, or you have not enough life lived/friends in life to have told a story. The best ones IMO are able to tell the stories of life in the best way.
