The DPA 6060 costs about twice as much compared to the Sanken COS 11D, but I don't hear the golden sound comes out from it. The Tram is terrible both in sensitivity and clarity. So the winner is...... You already know.
The real difference you’ll notice isn’t the sound quality…. You can hide the mic without rustle far easier which you don’t really understand till you try it
Will the dpa connect 3.5 to rode wireless mic and work correctly? I shoot in a karate dojo and the screaming on dji mic 2 32bit float file shows in the red or clips. I assume its the mic clipping! Is that possible?Thank You
Yes, but you have to change the connector or buy one with a 3.5 mm connector already. I would double-check with a place where they do that or sell, just to make sure. Mics like this may clip. I used to use a Sennheizer mic and distorted every time an actor was screaming but when I started using Sanken, things changed the same for DPA.
Great video. Just wondering what you personally connected the lav to? I know you mentioned you can get the 3.5mm connector and connect it to something like a Rode wireless mic - but if you get the one with the xlr cable what is the best system to connect it to ? Also, did you ever find the answer to @drosemr - I have a f8n pro plus which has 32 bit float and want to know if i used with yelling if the mic would clip? Thanks :)
Hello, I use Lectrosonics wireless system and they used a TA5 connector. Sennheiser g4 has the 3.5 connector and they are more affordable than Lectrosonics. As long as you have one of these mics it shouldn’t clip. But you also have to set the levels on your Zoom recorder.
