When you think of crops grown in the Yakima Valley, you might think of apples, cherries, and, of course, hops. But did you know that some people also grow lavender in the area? A good climate for lavender can be found in Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, and Montana, among other states. Our reporter John Franklin found his way to one of the first lavender farms in the valley, where he spoke with the co-owner about her 24 years in the business.
