I picked up a jar of French blue lavender at a store about a month ago. Today I pulled it out and decided to make some lavender lemonade with it. I’m so glad I came across this video and your channel. The words “lavender harvest” stood out to me. God is speaking. Thank you! 🙏🏾

Hi, I just came across your video. It was very relaxing. I have a couple of questions that I can’t seem to find the answer for and I’m hoping you can help. 1. I’ve harvested a lot of my French lavender, but it’s still producing. I live in central California where temperatures are now 103 and well over. While the flower stems are now shorter, the plant itself is very tall and starting to get shaggy and dark brown on the bottom. Should I have my gardener cut it down short now? 2. I’ve noticed that my plant is developing these very dark white globs (for lack of a better word) at the top of the plant. Is that some sort of fungus or disease and how do I get rid of it? Any help you can provide would help greatly! I’m not much of a gardener and tend to kill all plants 😭.

Hi Nelida! For my lavender the only thing I trim is I cut off the brown buds (or at least try too) to keep my plants fresh. The white globes you mentioned might be a type of bug called a spittle bug and they form a weird foam that looks almost like a cotton ball but it’s hard to tell without seeing it. If you Google it, you can pull up images. I am not sure on the brown bottom. I’d say trim off any brown as much as you can. I hope this helps. Thank you for commenting and watching 😊

@@aquaintlifeI have a questions I’m a new sub and I have a lavender plant and it’s striving do you know how to create a new lavender plant using the old one?
@aquaintlife
@aquaintlife 4 дня назад
@@OwFan88 hello and welcome! I haven’t done that yet myself but I have seen it done and have been wanting to try it. You can find videos here on RU-vid. Apparently you cut a stem and dip it in a root stimulant ( I have seen people use honey) and then place the cutting in dirt to plant. It seems pretty simple and I hope you can find a good video to help you. Good luck with your lavender 🌱 PS. If your lavender is striving, remember they don’t like a lot of water and need lots of sunshine. I don’t fertilize mine either. I cut the brown off, and water about every 10 days.
