I have just finished my Bellisimo blouse in the luxury fabric today, didn’t think it would really be for me but oh my days I totally love it ♥️ will post and tag on instagram soon 🌺 ♥️
My luxury fabric is cut up and ready to sew for the Davenport dress for my daughter which has to be worn on friday, and a chunk of the chiffon went for an overlay on a t-shirt I was making as I opened the box as it just happened to be the exact darkest colour on the flower. :D
When are we of the classic going to get some jersey and maybe chambray fabric I think it’s been at least a year since I have had any chambray and nearly a year of no jersey. Please please can we have some of these fabrics I’m fed up having so much viscose and cotton. Sorry for a moan but I felt I needed it.
So sorry to hear that Julie, but I think you’re going to like what’s coming next month! 😘 the last viscose was October, we’ve had some cottons and needlecord since then. August was the beautiful linen feel cotton. I am always hunting for the perfect jersey for you!
"Lavender" in the US in the 1950s was very much associated with queerness. No one seems to be able to find any etymological evidence for the use of "Lavender Haze" predating Mad Men. I'm not saying it's not a pretty idea, but given the "Lavender Scare" in the 50s that led to mass firing of queer people in the US public service, I'm wildly uncomfortable with this made-up folk idiom. That aside, it's a beautiful theme for a box and I'm deeply envious of everyone opening up this absolute beauty. Just perhaps we can leave the past out of it ;)
