Seriously...a CRITICAL knockdown into a HOLD UP with the four-person All-Out Attack ignored with the 1MORE triggering a ShowTime ignored in for a Baton Pass just to do 3k damage when less than 500 was needed. I get that this is Merciless so that OP wanted to show off, but seriously there was too much mechanics-ignoring showboating interwoven with time-waster moves. (Like, really, using One-Shot Kill that is resisted to deal 55 dmg instead of simply swapping Noir out for Panther or Skull temporarily?)

@@pyrrhusnikos242 Showtimes are inherently random when they show up, and can do really varying amounts of damage. I wanted to use this video for the guide I wrote, so doing it without Showtimes meant that no matter how few Showtimes an individual got, they could still complete the fight before Lavenza uses Megidolaon. And how much damage Haru does with OSK is almost irrelevant, you're using that move to get a crit and Baton Pass to Joker, whose damage will trump everyone else

bainz They aren't random actually. There are queues which cause them to almost always happen (Enemy low, enemy defense down, Joker low, ally incapacitated, etc. etc.)

Bit late but if you have the orpheus f dlc you get to use a skill that boosts all of your stats and heal you for 50% hp without needing to be surrounded.

That'd be interesting, kinda like FF7R Hard mode, no items. The toughest part would be not being able to heal/remove ailments with whoever you want. I might try it at some point!

As someone that also did it on merciless, is actually not thaaaaat hard, its just that the requirements are VERY tight. For first phase i personally went with Ryuji for his party wide charge, Sumire with her party wide crit+, Akechi for his debilitate and with Joker i kept rotating between Attis for his party wide Heat Rise (only works if you give him the trait to be able to use abilities that require an ambush at any time), a healer persona, Yoshitsune for damage and any other persona with high luck stat with any ability that has a high chance of criting. The first phase is just bursting her down, keep in mind that after you do around 5000dmg, her next phase begins. Here you will need a technical hit each turn, so for that, i swapped Akechi for Haru just before the phase started and used status effects on Lavenza, any works tbh but i went for those that are affected by Psi attacks (if you struggle with the RNG and have the DLCs, Raoul's Phantom Show is almost 100% chance of hitting a sleep status effect, but really, any works), do that until she gets her new dialogue. On the next phase, she will require a crit each turn, this is where Sumire's buff really shine, now spam Haru's One shot kill and any high crit chance ability with Joker that you have and you should be fine. After that you get to lavenza's last phase where you'll really need to burst her down because she starts to hit HARD, haru quickly becomes useless here as Lavenza in this phase is inmune to status effects AND gun damage, so swapping her out for anyone will is the best choice (unless you somehow managed to make her a magic user, in that case, yea she can do damage with Psi attacks), and from then on is bursting her down while surviving.

Oh, no you def don't have to. My strat for this fight was just based around party members Baton Passing to Joker, so Linked Bloodline was effective here. Linked Bloodline based on my testing gives a 40% boost but weirdly only affects single-target skills after a Baton Pass. But Mighty Gaze is better in general, cuz it's always 20%

Network fusion, its completely RNG so I recomend you save before fusion and if you dont get it just reload your save and fusion again till you get it

Some personas have it naturally, so start save scumming the strengthen. Theres also a chance some personas can get itemized during an alarm and create the boosts

If you go to Billiards enough times, you can increase the party's Tech Damage Rank. Rank 4 means Technicals do a lot more damage and have a guaranteed chance of knockdown. samurai-gamers.com/persona-5/billiards-mini-game-guide/
