That 7000 dunk from Akechi had my jaw drop dude. If leviathan was allowed to crit, Akechi would be even more of a chad than he already is. Edit: nevermind, I guess leviathan can crit, unless your using a mod of course.
I used a mod to make Laevateinn able to crit because it's stupid that it's the only phys skill that cannot crit in the game. As for the 7000 damage, for some reason during phase 2, Lavenza takes absurd amounts of damage from any technical, which is really apparent that a normal critical damage only does about half of it.
@@Zrego I see, I totally get you on that. It’s super understandable. Man it was still a really good fight though, I ran the same team when I beat her myself, but it didn’t go nearly as smooth as this though.
@@vales15 I linked it in the description, the mod makes it become identical to God's Hand, same crit rate and base power. Unmodded Laevateinn already shares the same base power with God's Hand, but for no reason it cannot crit...
@@ShioSatou Three things came to my mind: 1. Implement "Magic Critical" passive (similar to some FF games), and make sure the protagonist and all the magic-based party members are able to learn it. 2. Make sure "Magic Critical" also synergizes with Apt Pupil and Revolution/Rebellion. 3. Rework Ann's Trait into the magic version of Eccentric Temper since her default is really bad.
@@ZregoYou can set magic to use Strength and use Charge via modding, but it will never crit sadly, it seems like crits arent coded to happen with anything other than Phys or Gun, even if it is strength-based.
Anubis (lowest level persona with no weaknesses and able to inherit all elements) plus SP recovery accessory like Invigorate 3 is highly effective for normal encounters against common enemies with weaknesses. Hit a weakness with tier 1 magic, baton pass to strength-based party members for phys/gun skills and never ever lose SP in the game. Strength-skills are so broken ever since P4. Since the video is literally highlighting phys, I wanted to shoutouts to Anubis.
8-Element Anubis has no weaknesses, combined with baton passing to strength-based party members, trivializes the turn economy in battle up until the final stages of the game, including the Royal final boss.
Single target dynes and multitarget dynes share the same base power, I scrapped the single target ones so I could slot in phys skills (phys is better than magic), as well as useful passives like Arms/Spell Masters and Ali Dance from third sem jazz club.
@@Zregoi agree idk why people keep the single target version unless it has a higher base power. ex Ziodyne and Mazionga Edit: btw i recommend using shock since multiple phys and gun attacks can technical off of it after one use, unlike freeze, though it resets phys and gun resistance, so if an enemy is immune to phys, use ice, but if not use shock so the whole party acn technical off it
@@hessexm8065 Freeze works better because it breaks Lavenza's Oni's phys resistances and allows a single charged freeze tech colossal phys to end the technical phase immediately

You have to knock her down they say every turn but I’ve honestly 3 turns without knocking her down and she didn’t do an all out attack. I would inflict rage and then do a psycho attack or some other methods.
You have to follow her rules for each phase. 1: Hit her with the right affinities. 2: Hit her with Technical damage every turn. 3: Get a crit every turn. 4: Reduce her HP to 0.
I originally had thoughts of using the Brave Blade accessory on Akechi to provide a way for him to consistently crit. Akechi uses Brave Blade in his boss fight, so it would be lore-accurate. But then I had the Laevateinn critical fix mod installed so I might as well try it for this run, using Brave Blade over it wouldn't really make any difference anyway.
