Lavrov Downplays Putin's Joke on Harris Cites U.S. Deep State 

Russia’s foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, has dismissed President Vladimir Putin’s recent remarks supporting Kamala Harris in America’s presidential race as “a joke.”
Putin claimed Harris’s laugh made her preferable to Donald Trump.
Lavrov emphasized Putin’s sense of humor and suggested that U.S. elections, in any case, are controlled by the “deep state.” The White House was quick to ask Putin to refrain from commenting on the upcoming election.
