Ref Tutor this may sound silly but what is the green whistle with the different pitch called?

It is a Fox 40. The other, my preferred one, is an ACME Tornado.

@g1churchboy

Not at all. In my jurisdiction referees can begin at 12 years old, however teenage referees can only officiate players who are two years younger. Go for it! You will learn alot: not just about refereeing.

i have a questionnnn, if i have free kick do i have to wait for ref to whistle? another example if my teams scores can we restart the game without the whistle? I saw a soccer game yesterday and the girls didnt wait for the ref whistle to do any of the example mentioned
@stijn5236
@stijn5236 3 года назад
I’m a ref and I only whistle after a free kick if there is a wall that has to be put in place. I think it’s mandatory to wait for the whistle with a match restart.

When goal is scored, I’ve seen some referees whistle and som don’t whistle. What is the correct alternative for the referee?
@aus_vi8455
@aus_vi8455 3 года назад
Is they clearly score and it’s easy to see that the they scored don’t blow. If the ball fully crosses the goal line and then bounces back out or something then they will indicate it with the whistle bc it was harder to see
@karentaylorsmells
@karentaylorsmells 3 года назад
Lukas Beng you don’t blow the whistle for a goal being scored

"Practise, practise, Practise" I don't think that's how you spell "practice" 😕
@RefTutor
@RefTutor 6 лет назад
LOL, as a teacher I have had this debate at report card time often. Here's the verdict that I stick with: if you are attending a rehearsal event (a noun) it is 'practice'; if you are rehearsing (a verb) it is 'practise'. In this case, I am encouraging referee to rehearse (the verb); hence 'practise'. Good observation: thanks for commenting.
