Christopher Meloni, reprising his role as Elliot Stabler, returns to the NYPD to battle organized crime after a devastating personal loss. However, the city and police department have changed dramatically in the decade he's been away, and he must adapt to a criminal justice system in the midst of its own moment of reckoning. Liv is Captain and is a Mom, Fin became Sergeant and is engaged. And a bunch of new people have come and gone the best of which was Barba as ADA and was getting very close to Liv before he decided to leave the show. You’re all caught up....you’re welcome.

Agree. He will have to give her some serious explanation. You cannot just disappear from someone's life without giving any news for a decade, and then just come back and dealing with people as if nothing had never happened.

Tonight’s the night for the big event! Though, I have news that is relevant to tonight’s showing. Not to shun anyone’s/everyone’s anticipation towards Olivia’s and Elliot’s reunion on tonight’s ‘Law & Order: SVU/Organized Crime’ crossover event, but I read in an article that Chris Meloni stated in an interview that “Fans may be unsatisfied with both character’s reunion”. Honestly, I’m not too surprised at such advice from the actor himself, given how his character left the show (due to a budget/contract issue) and his partnership with Liv after twelve years. I would not even be surprised if Olivia goes as far as to slap, or even punch, Elliot given their relationship as best friends & partners stopped abruptly after twelve years with no contact. Either way, looking forward to both episodes of ‘Law & Order’ tonight!

Wow I stopped watching in like 2013-14ish. I still enjoyed it without Stabler but I just stopped. I've been watching where I left off and I seriously doubt I can catch up in time but suddenly hearing he was coming back for an appearance, I jumped right back into SVU. I'm definitely going to be watching his new show "Organized Crime" as well!! 😃
