that's it. Just use a pin vice and tiny drill bit about the same size as your wire. dab a little thin CA glue or epoxy (which works better than CA) on the hole and push the wire in about 1/4". I sometimes then paint the ends of the wires black to look like spark plug boots. Putting a piece of wire insulation over the end of the wire is too fussy for me and it kinda looks out of scale. be patient with the glue before you try to bend the wires into position. You will likely wind up pulling the wires out if the glue is still wet. Thanks for the comment!!
i don't know what size the wire is. I've had it for years with no package but I remember it came from radio shack and it is called winding wire. It does have insulation on the wire; it's not bare. I'd say its about the thickness of maybe 10# test fishing line.
