Look at what we have here, they DID interact together. It didn't make sense for them to bring back a former main character and not once have her interact with her former partner the entire time apart from that brief exchange of looks in the courtroom they had together at the end of the episode. How silly of them to take out the one and only scene they had together in the entire episode. This should have stayed in.
So much history between those two and such emotion in the looks they shared with each other. So good! I was hoping more former ADA's would've made guest appearances before Jack left.
They should have left this scene in if they were going to bother bringing her back, which was anyway a convoluted return being that she had resigned and become a defense lawyer and then a judge and then somehow she's back at the DA's and the only Ada with her own office with no explanation.
They really dropped the ball with continuity here. My honest theory is that the writers are so much different from the ones who made her a judge in trial by jury that they didnt make the connection. I would much rather have seen her return as a judge than what they ended up doing with her character.... its still a great show and ill always watch it...but the writing just isnt what it used to be.
I really wished that they kept that scene in, would've been pretty nice to see Jack & Jamie interacting instead of them seeing each other once in the courtroom near the end of the episode.
I agree with everyone else: This definitely should have stayed. Especially bc the alternative was a block of a commercials followed by 60 seconds of the NBC logo on a loop!
She was the best ADA in the series. She was a working mom who always did the right thing no matter the personal cost. She taught me a lot about how to stand up for what’s right. I love you, Jamie.
And now you're asking her to help Nolan send a victim to jail after she's been re-revictimized after she finally received the closure she deserved that was stripped of her.
