Hope y'all enjoyed the video! This was a breakdown on why law school ranking doesn't really matter. One of the most common questions prospective law students have is does law school ranking matter. Every year, the US News and World Report comes out with a ranking of the top law schools in the country. Schools live by these rankings and a jump in the rankings can mean a huge boost in enrollment. Do they really matter that much though? Well, the answer is complicated. Rankings do make a difference in career outcome when you're comparing top law schools to schools that are ranked outside of the top 100, but when schools are closer in ranking, the differences are smaller than you might think.
Law school rankings will undoubtedly be important for some students. Namely, students who want to pursue prestigious legal careers. A fellow RU-vidr, Cece Xie, does a great job explaining this in the following short:

For the vast majority of students though, law school ranking doesn't matter as much as they might think. There are other factors that play a more significant role in a lawyer's career outcomes. Namely, location, connections, and programs. This video is just a surface level explanation of why these considerations should be at the top of law student's lists when they are choosing where to go to law school. Law school admissions and acceptances are a hectic time for students, so its not surprising that so many tend to use rankings as the main determining factor when deciding where to go to school. My hope is that this video helps law students understand law school rankings a bit more and make decisions that are better for them in the long run. I am currently a law student at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. I will be starting my 3L year of law school at ASU in the fall. I am also pursuing a concurrent Master's degree in a Masters in Sports Law and Business, MSLB, as part of the Selig SLB program here at ASU Law. I remember my time as an undergrad student and a 1L well and I also remember the stress that came with making my decision on where to attend law school. Extra thanks 👍 👍 👍 👍 from me for sharing such great content. I must say, you post amazing content. I love it. Keep making videos like this. But, I request you. That you focus on video editing. When you are explaining something, make sure to include B-Roll and animation properly, because it helps in imagination. Put proper subtitles and transitions in the video. Put B-Roll (footage and animation) very well as it is absolutely essential in the video. 🌲

Yes, you are right. In my opinion, more attention should be paid to subtitles, transitions, and b-roll. I mean add B-Roll, subtitles and transitions properly.

No, it is not that video editing is completely bad at present. Yes, if the video is edited better then it will definitely be better. But, they should take this decision. 💮

Look beyond my understanding. Because it has two aspects. First - What do you have to do with video editing? Listen and understand what he is explaining in the video. Second - Now video editing is becoming top in the entire environment and with good video editing, it is very easy to explain anything. 🍳

I'm starting Sandra day O'Connor in August!!! Do you have any suggestions on outlines? I have heard JDAdvising could be useful. I'm curious if you have heard/used anything else to help :)

I used outline banks from student orgs on campus. Between that and making outlines or using friends' outlines, I've been good. I don't think there's a need to go out and purchase outlines from a third party when you can pay $20 to get access to the WLSA outline bank that has outlines from the actual professors you'll be taking.
