Lawless: On October 2, 1987, a Boston police officer responding to a domestic disturbance call was fatally wounded. Local authorities launched a citywide manhunt, but were only able to find the fingerprints of the chief suspect. Believing that he had fled the area, the FBI followed the suspect’s trail to the west coast and then across the Mexican border, always aware of the desperation of a cop killer and of the need for justice.
Cruel Revenge: In August 1984, the son of a successful real estate developer was kidnapped in front of his father’s business in Miami. After the father received a $3 million ransom demand from a self-proclaimed terrorist, the FBI became involved. Based on witness descriptions of the car used in the kidnapping, authorities began to suspect a pair of Colombian nationals with a known grudge against the developer’s family. The FBI had to investigate without revealing their suspicions, at the risk of encouraging a kidnapper’s threats.
Held Hostage: In October 1995, a South Carolina family was taken hostage as part of an elaborately planned bank robbery. Local police quickly identified two of the perpetrators, but the criminal mastermind proved more elusive. After his escape from custody, authorities began to suspect the fugitive of involvement in a series of bank robberies up and down the east coast, and the FBI remained on his trail, hoping to catch him before he took more hostages.
The FBI Files is an American docudrama that takes a look behind the scenes of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's crime laboratory.
Real FBI cases are recounted through reenactments and interviews, due to the sensitive nature of the show, viewer discretion is advised.

They cant and i know why - Its the effects on the backround. For example: In the 70´s and 80´s they had to improvise; if something bolw up they didnt use a computer to make the effect. The video quality was(some might say "poor") something that could make a grotest footage leaving the consumer thinking like "Wow... i can imagine the real deal looks like that in the real life" shot with these(nowadays) historical equippment. And these bone chilling sounds on the backround that gives you the atmosphere that turns watching something into experiencing something are just not to be made by these modern toys. These hypermodern cameras sure has a high quality which makes that ketchup put on the actors shirt to appear like blood look amateurish. Sure they can make a hamburger look in a way that makes you starving while the commercials and thats about it. PS. i know my english is not perfect but ill live (means that i someone does not have to remind me)

Hi, I Don't know how this happens, your show was on before with this woman. And do how, i have an interest in this story of this poor woman. Im from Erie. My husband was from James Town. We have driven up snd and down rt 17 many times, multiple times a WK. Rt 17 is not that old. I just herd on show, the 80,,s?.this happened? Probably if she was trafficked. Probably from there to Cleveland.I always had a strange feeling on Rt 17. I wish some how i could help. I always have feelings but don't understand them. I really feel for this poor woman. I used to say i was Serena when i wasn't comfortable telling my name to strangers. I would question that, why always that name came out of me. It was the 80,s. I was going up and down that road.I wonder if that woman who came to help, can ask the poor woman to look in places for his name. In that Time??? I so Hope You Can Help Her!! I was used by a very bad man as a child. Best of Luck To You!

Has any FBI agent ever experienced having to thumb for a ride to survive while walking along a roadside back down a mountain maybe during all hours of the day and night in bear country when having to choose between maybe bear paws after them or the same old rules of thumb instead? That kind of situation happened to my mother long ago while being led to believe it was only going to be sightseeing. Instead of other women her age admiring her for having done so when standing up for her right to practise her values and her morals while not being afraid of networking in groups while she was out with 3 who turned out to be frenemies at the time there on that mountain to this day instead some of them continue to gossip about her behind her back about how she should have listened to the nuns teaching the sewing classes in dressmaking school at the time instead. The same old rule of thumbs called coersive control exist to this day. How long is it going to take for the law makers in nations here in North America to pass laws against that use of coercive control too?

She did rescue herself, thank God. We as a society need to do everything possible to make sure children don't have to be traumatized like this.

Their crimes were very bad and jaberk was the worst. Yet, I see a glimmer of humanity. With all those kidnappings and armed robberies, although they terrified people, no one was killed or even shot I have to wonder how jaberk got the saw blade for his final successful escape? What happened to the young ladies that helped with the first escape with a car, clothes, food, and deadly hand guns? Was the original $87K from first robbery ever recovered?

The perspective from the police is that they are a squeaky clean organisation. They are anything but! A REAL documentary would give perspective from the other side also.

arveyilles, you want too much. A documentary cannot last 3 hours! Moreover, there'll always be something untold for different reasons. Enjoy your meal and shut up.

Someone out there needs to make new shows. I've seen all of COPS twice, all FBI three or four times, COLD CASES, NEW DETECTIVES . . . Not to mention all the interrogations, I think I'm an addict. 😢
