I was a kid running around in the 70's. The difference between now & then is back then we knew if we did wrong there would be consequenses & punishment.
@@markunsworth2364I never got brought up like that in the 70s and 80s . Kids now have no respect for others property or others lives, they don’t seem to have communication skills apart from texting and I also think they don’t think human life is important anymore because of the video games they play that they just go round killing people on. A lot of the issues now are caused by tech and social media.
@@markunsworth2364 not all kids were battered with belts. There was a bigger fear of authority figures back then too. You only have to look at today’s police force, young birds done up like it’s a night on the tiles. Even the guys are 7 stone wet.
Listen to these kids, the way they speak, and the way they act. Their parents have absolutely failed them, and they are destined for failure. I pray they can turn their lives around and surround themselves with better people.
@@johnnyboy2674 not always parents to blame. Society in general is a massive part of it. People, especially young ones are influenced so much by what is portrayed to them as cool. Music videos, with guns and gangs all seem very glamorous to youngsters and they idolise this stuff. And if they aren’t dressed in the best clobber, they fall victim to bullying. They crave to fit in and will join in just to not be an outcast
@gary_248 Agreed. This is exactly why they need Jesus. They all think they are vest mates and don't realise they are enemies. It's a vicious circle. "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will." - Romans 12:2
@johnnyboy2674 totally agree .all gangster talk lad this lad that .my family from Wavertree Fazakerley older gen never speak like that lot all for show bravrdo half time .strange
Bunch of no marks. I grew up in Liverpool and had nothing, but didn't terrorise people in their homes, do drugs or hang round on streets. You can blame the Government all you want, but I grew up in Thatcher's Britain, when times were really hard. Turned out well, I've always worked and been decent.
Listen to you. You may have been on the straight and narrow, but that doesn't mean scoffing at kids on bikes makes you any sort of a man. "Bunch of no marks" Honestly the state of it. There's no comparisson to an adults life. So you never had a bike, freinds, so what move on with ye boring life. "Turned out well, I've always worked and been decent.". Again you are comparing yourself to little kids on bikes. Well done! And what, you think the 80s is harder than present day? Step outside of your bubble once in a while, lad.
@@davidbowie2046 I make point about you sounding snooty to little kids, and you come back all bourgeoisie over the lad? Someone like you is incapable of looking in the mirror, or hearing yourself. There's only 1 intelligence problem here, but you know, you've never done drugs so that makes all the vitriol ok. Well done again, LAD!
@@_TOD33you prat we were broke in the 80s and we didn't act like these losers we made our own fun without vandalism and graffiti and terrorising people LAD
I don't agree with the 'I'm not a grass' shout, Billy. It's an attitude that poisons our communities. It also makes the most vulnerable more likely to have a terrible time. Once individuals in any community realise that they can act without fear of any consequence they start to target the weakest members of that community. Really really sad.
@@theallornothingpodcastwith4442 That's ok for you, Billy. But it's not okay for the weakest members of our community who rely on decent citizens contacting police when they've witnessed crimes. I'm not talking specifically about what happened in this clip, I'm talking about other issues.
Well said , the honest hard-working family's within the communities that have to bear the brunt of the "'I'm not a grass' shout!" are simply to scared to reach out to the Police for help! in fear of the consequences of speaking the TRUTH......................
Parenting is simply not caring for the upbringing of your children, just let them go and do as they damn well please, whilst being busy doing something else. There is no love for children, by the vast majority of so-called parents
Its not the Torys fault lad, these kids don't care about politics, they care about looking and acting like the older kids and being brainwashed by the music and films there listening to and watching, its way above labour/torys, the kids love there lives because they think its the correct way of life, you can put a boxing gym or youth centre on every corner, no one would go.. except the good kids, there needs to be a some type of legislation that states if your child is a little divvy then you should pay some type of consequense, unless you can prove in court that your a normal person who's not addicted to alcohol or drugs and allowing them to act the way their acting, these kids are little demons, male and female, tik Tok, music, tele and drugs are all ruining them, its only going to get worst..
Sometimes it’s hard for the mothers, with young lads , especially today, with some of these looser fathers not been around, mothers need to be very strong it’s a hard job I no iv been there an done it, they need support, the single mums who have been left alone to do it alone
We used to just play footy all day in the street don’t really see kids doing that these days I seen a kid with a joint hanging out his gob he looked like his mum should be still be holding his hand crossing the road they are growing up to quickly a lot of them are going off the rails at a very early age we will all have abit of a rebellious teen phase growing up hopefully they grow out of it like I did some don’t though an go worse
I live on Townsend lane Billy - its turning into skid row. Kids have been causing chaos in the area for the last 6-12 months. Its always been rough but its noticeably deteriorating to levels we haven't seen for some time - addicts comatosed in the streets and youth running rampant. Unfortunately I don't think youth clubs are enough
Sorry Bill but the “ nowhere to go and nothing to do “ isn’t cutting it anymore. Kids these days have so much more than 70’s and 80’s kids. Simple truth is they, and us as kids, caused bother because we got a buzz from it and didn’t care for anyone It was cool to smash things up and generally be a pest,or so we,and todays kids believe
It's maybe true if they could join the army. They would be better dressed and have BMW, but there again. Many are struggling with trauma coming out of forces. So I dunno
Wrong Bill the parents have let them down they don’t know right from wrong they are feral and the scary thing is what are their kids going to be like in 15 years
I believe it’s the single parenting, the man should be a man and take control of there bad behaviour, young lads don’t listen to there mothers, and it’s very hard for mothers on there own
Liverpool city centre maybe historic and beautiful but it has always had its lawless side. Wont mention certain areas but it has been rough for as many years as I can remember.
You are just encouraging it with behaviour like that. The Police aren't persecuting them. They have kicked a mirror off a Police car. On what planet are the kids the victims here, and the Police instigating anything?! Blows my mind the lack of respect for the community and each other.
The whole country just looks proper shagged..whether it's Liverpool or Birmingham or Manchester or down south everywhere looks in pieces with nothing positive for the kids to do.
Give them a bit of advice, would you be saying that if that was your car they had just recreationally smashed up, they have no respect for their community, their neighbours, their families and themselves
And 10 min walk away multi millionaires are playing football. I had a Karate club under the flats in sheil rd and the counsel knocked the flats down plus the community center ,,,,,
The difference of today is there is no future for the young ones,.. they have seen their parents struggle with everyday life, for generations now.....letting a load of boat people over is a deliberate flame to a tinder box... all by design,..and yes like people say this all over the UK.... Generation Poverty. Your control masters will now use the Labour to start the civil unrest, they have been so planning for.....its gone on to long see no way out now.
"I'm not a grass mate. I've got to live in this city" fucking hell, that word. Heard it enough when Rhys Jones was shot. Lawless in the title, wonder why?
CATCH 22 how do you gain trust and deliver guidance and workshops if the youth and using their terminology by way, believe you’re a GRASS? You’re not the one doing what I’m doing and if you was you’d definitely have a different mindset.
Exactly. No role model that’s for sure. Literally promoting a juvenile mind set. What happened to just talking to the kids and explaining that they’re ruining their own communities by acts of vandalism. I couldn’t help looking at that robbed car and thinking that’s someone’s life line to get to work or get their kids to school. Just not an ounce of accountability at all. It’s embarrassing we’re not all like that for anyone outside of Liverpool watching.
I'm the same age as Rhys would be now. Literally knew his mates, I've never forgiven the no grass shite. Police literally having to bug homes to convict. Says it all.
I grew up in the 80s in Liverpool Back in the day we had no iPhone PlayStation etc but we never smashed cars up terrorised neighbourhoods , gave cheek to our elders walked around with our faces covered ! Nothing to do with no community hubs bla bla etc they would probably smash them and rob them blind anyway , it’s about respect! the parents are to blame for these rats
Not just Merseyside Billy it's all over the country, you seen Morecambe, there's nothing to do, but there's no discipline, and it's only gonna get worse, Billy you've talked to good kids, so they're not all like that, the parents have a lot to blame in this situation, and I never thought I'd be saying this but my dad's belt put a stop to our bad behaviour as kids, but now we're seeing broken Britain 💔 getting worse, where's it heading, tits up, that's where. Thanks for that though Billy, loving your work ✌🏻😎.
I was terrified of the police in Toxteth in the 70s. As children we were battered, set up with bunches of car keys, weed and threatened to grass on people who hadn't done anything. The fear turned to hate, and a lot of people decided to do something about it in the early 80s
I was one of those kids in the late 80s up to the mid 90s Billy. I could solve 95% of the problem with their behaviour within a few months and with enough funding. That's always been the problem with working class kids. Never enough funding and never enough wages for the parents to stop the rot.
Simple answer don't have kids if you can't afford them. I'm not a fan of any political parties there all useless but blaming them for kids behaviour is wrong, those kids must go home stinking of skunk, surely the parents must smell this. The problem is the kids are feral, no proper parenting. There talking like old men and that's the problem that's were there influences are coming from, the older generations, far to many wannabe gangsters.
It goes both ways, no amount of youth clubs and funding will stop the thug mindset that is rampant amongst our youth. Present Father's and Strong family units will go a long way...
@@mot7099 It needs to start at a young age and not allow poor behaviour to become acceptable. Why do you think middle class kids don't terrorise neighbourhoods?
Fuckall changes in some parts of Liverpool, sadly Bill!! Might as well been filmed back in 1981 Breck Road when my family were still living there , main difference being the community watched each other's backs , back then 😪😪

Heard big joe kidd taking all the naughty ones into his rap studio/hotel/burgerhaff/ and making dough out of them as well , onto a winner that they wine abar the streets and big joe and the other fragel make a few quid😂😂😂😂
WTF is going on in our beautiful country...if those youngsters had half a brain the black car should have been striped of the parts to get money...but no it's all about destruction...at least we had a brain back in our misspent youth...i was racing bangers 45 years ago at the age of 18...this modern youth movement only know the square mile aroma them...keep up the great work Bill...
Kids will trust Billy more than they will a politician. Change doesn't occur on a set date especially a date agreed upon by the ruling party, same reason people are voting for reform are the same people that voted to leave the EU and that didn't bring the once great Britain back. It was Boris that went through with the EU withdrawal and it was used as a scapegoat whilst we were all being screwed over throughout convid.
@@stephenharris7982 Yeah, but getting them into work or trades, promoting traditional family values and teaching them the value of being a man to our society will go a long way
This country is over. Billy, thanks for highlighting one of the reasons that i will be saying adios to these once great shores. Within under 2 years i will be gone, adioski amigo.
Mindless !! The parents need to entertain them get them involved in Sports or Music makes me ashamed how Bad liverpool has become Boarded up shops on every corner and Kids smashing up anything they can, Why did you Not explain to them Thats some poor Buggers car and the Insurance wont cover that so they are Out of Pocket and Now No car if Nobody explains they dont care Make them stop and think how would they like it if it was there car ,
It was the same for me when I was a teenager 15 20 years ago, nothings changed, there wasn't anything to do then, but I never caused trouble. You can't just blame this government to be fair, when I was growing up it was Labour who were in power, they didn't do much either.
Have to agree with some of the comments Billy. There is no excuse whatsoever for the things they do. They have a choice . Their Parents need to keep a tighter reign on them. Someone has worked hard for that car just for them to smash it. I was a kid back in the 60s and 70s running around Everton ( The slums before the new estate next to Grants Gardens) moved to Balmoral in Kensington and then the Bluebell in Huyton. If we did anything wrong the consequence was we got a good hiding from my Dad. Fear prevented us from doing things like that. we were not angels but never did what these kids do today.
Parents play a part but it's hard,my kids have been through the ringer growing up because I didn't cave in to giving them phones before high school, because I watched them play out in the street, because I showed them right from wrong. My daughter who's 20 now constantly went on about how the kids in the years under them, when she was in year 8 and 9 were so different to themselves in every way,the way they acted and talked and behaved!! Social media, schools and the way this social change is happening now has a major part to play and, society as whole is responsible for this.Go listen to Katherine Birbalsingh who's the head teacher of the Michaela community school down in Wembley
Nfa says it all bill really fkd everywhere mte as we know, we live it mush ya right, vote REFORM eh Bill, anyhooo nice1 mte keep it going bruvva, peace...
When we were teenagers we knocked about in Crocky park ,Nogsy park . always had a ball to keep us occupied. kids are destructive today , spoilt to an extent ,,
Take it into our own hands , one street at a time. Grandma , mama out there pulling weeds. Making the neighbourds look good . Put in some plants. Get the youngersters to lok out for them for Grandma. Give them some pride in their own street . Then the next street , then the next. Teach the tiny ones the beauty of flowers and plants and they will want to preserve them and maybe big brothers will to for their sakes. Maybe people will take pride in where the live and want to improve what their older relatives are doing and not want to destroy it.What cn be lost? All people need a wonderful environment in which to live. If you don’t have it you can create it. Young men, give something to your young and old . Unite people. A nice environment makes people feel calm and at ease. How hard can it be. ? It works or it doesn’t . What’s to loose..? Where you live reflects who you are but who you are can say how you live. n n ey

Children in this Modernity have it worse then any previous Generations from 70, 80, 90s, So don't be giving it all that when I was a lad crap These are unprecedented times The worse thing you can do to a child is neglect them, being brought up in a ghost town. The youth see no hope and vent their frustrations. Not one brit here was facing national service or being drafted into military.
You will be ok now Labours in power everything will be fine. New flats for asylum seekers going to be built in Liverpool i have heard for 10 thousand so local people living in them slums will have to wait a few more years
