He even said, "Give to caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's" So did Jesus not say about Peter "Upon this rock i will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. To you will be given the keys of the kingdom, what you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, what you loose on earth will loosed in heaven." "Do as the leaders tell you but not as they do for to them was given the throne of Moses." Sounds to me as if Jesus was not against authority and His enemy was not necessarily against leaders per se but against sin, pride and disobedience. Jesus instituted His Church, this church is made of people. He gave authority to the apostles to lead, to teach, to baptize, to forgive sins and the authority to elect or ordain. So the church, worship, sacrifice of Jesus' body and blood and authority permeates the whole New testament and the whole tradition of the judeo/christian worship. Putting down learned men is the pretense of ignorance. Virtually every Pastor I know is a humble slave to Christ and the Word. My Pastor is going for his PHD in biblical languages and it shows.

How many pastors do u know? I can honestly say that while the ones I’ve interacted with do give comfort in hard times. Times such as loss of life or hardships. The few I’ve witnessed don’t like to preach about the times we’ve entered or the times to come. One of the only ones I’ve seen that I felt balanced their lessons was brought into a church & set up for failure. The congregation was divided when he got there & they only gave him 18 months to bring them together. When the time to vote if they wanted him to stay or go it was still almost split right down the middle. With only 37 voting yes & 32 or 4 voting no. He resigned & I couldn’t blame him, after he left I realized the ones that voted no were afraid he’d bring drug addicts to the church bc of his outreach program. Who did they think Jesus came to save? It’s my experience organized religion is for nothing more than division.
