Hey robbie recently I switched from a standard electric rotarty mower to a cylinder push mower and the results have been excellent Since making the switch I reduced the amount of moss and weeds and weed grasses just by making the switch
Hi Robbie from premier lawns what a bout ye Sonya here from Sonya’s lawn. I didn’t know Lawnmower’s could reduce the amount of moss weeds and weed grass? I have a load of weed grass which I am doing my best to control butttttt….anyhow Sunday last it was covered so I decided to heavy rake and over seed. I reckoned I had another week or so before summer so my thoughts was good to go. Green thumb comes four times a year to feed weed and green up my lawn, so on Wednesday he arrived he thought I had scarified ( ekk bit heavy handed maybe lol ) anyhow cause it was looking a bit thin he dyed it in places I never heard of this method before I actually thought this was hilarious. Saturday morning now and I’m so glad I did heavy rake it’s looking good ( green Thumb told me I should’ve left it cause weed grass is part of my lawn ) thank god it’s me that makes the decisions big clumpy grass is ugly . I’d like to hear your thoughts on these subjects please ? Thanks Robbie I was going to upload a photo of my lawn but don't think I can on here ?
@@sanchiamcquiston725 if you look at the blend of many non-ornamental lawn seeds, they have a percentage of annual meadow grass (smooth stalk). ‘Apparently’ this is done to help the lawn fill out faster, but it’s not really lateral growth you want! I don’t know what you’ve got in your lawn, but this could be what the green thumb bloke was getting at. Not sure I agree with him though
I found your videos today.. Honestly... your videos are absolutely great ....! Your advice is spot on... and straight to the point.. I learned so much from just two videos... Will look forward to watching the rest... Great advice.... ! Thanks
Dead on! I live in Essex just laid 32 roll of turf! Not much but wanted a bit a green in the garden as it was all patio! Hopefully I have done a good job! Keep looking at your videos! as we say in Essex top man Robbie! need more on how to keep my Grass nice and green!
Great video. I'm off to aerate the lawn tomorrow. Please try to avoid using Peat and use a peat alternative. It would be much better for the environment.
Help needed please Robbie. Put new lawn down in April. was goin great but now I see a few mares tail appearing in middle of lawn.this is starting to stress me out.i know .your the man with a plan.
Hi, thanks to your videos I have a nice lawn coming in from seed. It has had a couple of mows so far and has been down about 6/7 weeks. I was wondering if I should be looking at fertilising it? If so any recommendations on which type to use? Thanks
Hello Robbie, what lawn feed would you recommend for a sprayer? Love your channel and my wife is from Belfast so it’s great listening to your accent. Thanks 😀

Thanks 🙏 Robbie great tips. Do you have any advice please with regards to over-fertilised lawn? I definitely put down too much to the point where I have stripes in my lawn 😳 thanks
Hi robbie great video 👍🏽 I'm a new subscriber and had a question please I'm looking to invest in one of these electric scrafiers 2 in one scrafier + aerator where you can change the blade are these ok for the job? As the areator are just thin spikes unlike the the hollow time tho these are quite expensive any advise would be much appreciated Thankyou
Hey Harry, welcome to the channel :) I think the 'aerator' blade looks like a gimmick. It's just another blade. If you don't have a huge lawn try one of these methods ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VRf2P3Q68Xo.html
@@Premier_lawns_official hey robbie, yes i agree, might be ok for doing scrafier i think I'll invest in the bacho fork for the areator appreciate the reply thankyou
Hi Robbie I’m planning on killing my lawn it’s infested with poa grass losing battle at this stage when is the best time to do this and when can I re plant new grass seed after killing it thanks
Great video Robbie as always 🍻 Love the John Deere cylinder mower ........any tips on spotting a good 2nd hand lawnmower (ebay) as new ones very Deere ......😊
@@Premier_lawns_official Will do that just a bit of luck if get a dodgy one I suppose ....John Deere pretty solid and gets spare bits readily ....yours looks a beauty !
@@125phr I was lucky, I happened to be doing a lot of filming at Belvoir Park golf course and they have a full time mechanic, that machine needed a lot of TLC, however the club did the work as a favour as I was knocking out the videos...
I need a product that kills weeds on the lawn that doesn't only come with a 1l ready to use mix. I need it for almost 400m2. I have bunch of different weeds on the lawn at my new house. I am already fertilizing and cutting often (not as often during summer), but some places have a lot of clover and those small white flowers... I saw the product you used and it can be shipped to Sweden, but I need it in a bigger container. thanks
I laid new turf a year ago and I am getting a fair amount of mushrooms now. I pick them from as close to the root as possible virtually every morning. Some are solid light colouring and 25mm tall, some are short dark stubby ones and others are almost see through. Is there anything I can put on the lawn to get rid of them?
Hi Robbie, I have a new turf lawn, laid in March. It seems to grow well but I cut it fairly short 2 weeks ago and now have a few more 'Blonde' spots and I'm worried I've wrecked it. I'm from N.Ireland but now live in England and its been pretty hot lately. I water it Daily when it doesn't rain. any advice on how I can safely repair this?
Is it ok to overseed in June? I let my new turf get too long before cutting it and ended up with lots of dead patches and thatch. I raked off the dead grass but now have lots of bare patches. Bit of a disaster really!
5:02, what ratio of seed to top soil is that roughly? I've got some top soil and some seed. Seed says 50g/m2 for patches, but if we're pre-mixing do we need more or less than that? Great vid as always :)
Some proper good tips coming through, a question please, we had our lawn returfed early April and it needed watering for quite some time, all good beautiful green grass, as the weeks have gone by we are seeing parts of the lawn not doing very well, losing colour and not growing too well, we aerated and watered, improving, slowly, during the aeration with a fork we noticed these areas had lots of stones as the fork did not go in very deep, what else can we do? Thanks
That will need a feed about now Use this - www.bioorganicgarden.co.uk/shop/lawn-fertilisers-and-treatments/symbio-caviar/ Use the discount code Premier10 for 10% off your order 😁
That wetting agent, does it last in the soil - i.e. does it help when the rains come another day? If so, sounds like an ideal thing to add at the same time as the liquid seaweed
I’ve got a lot of stalks that have had the seed heads mown off and now they’re brown and sticking up making things a bit untidy. I’ll just mow through it…
Another great video Robbie 👍. Quick question tho......can I put liquid iron, seaweed and soluble humic acid all in the sprayer or would you put seaweed and humic acid in and spray the iron separately on another day? By the way your lawn looks amazing pal 👌
It always chuckles me inside thinking what the neighbour's think I'm upto whilst desperately trying to get my lawn looking about 10% of this guys grass. Trying to aerate my whole lawn with a sodding pitch folk... what a f##kin weirdo!!
