YNWA, looking good simmsy! Can’t wait for spring here in the UK, just moved and the lawn is terrible! All sorts of different grass types in it. I’m going to do a KBG and a perennial rye Renovation. Also love this time of year because you make loads of vids!

I kno this is old and he has moved but that 2” of concrete driveway edge showing would drive me nuts!! Bring that ground height up the level w the sidewalks and driveways

Hey Ben, Thanks for the tips man! Just a thought for when you take a plug out for the pin mate, be aware that there’s electrical cables under there, particularly around the connection box. I’m sure you’ll be well above their buried height (500mm in W.A. Not too sure for N.S.W.) but wouldn’t want you to find out the hard way!

I did my yard around 2 weeks ago the lawn has came through almost, I didn’t have leveller rake at the time might of done bit thick but looks ok. Should i mow in weeks time? I have had lawn maintenance business for 8 years now but I’m starting to do More renos now

He Ben I have a Buffalo (Sir Walter) lawn that previous tenant's didn't really care for and has become really patchy with fairly compacted soil. I've done some aerating but do you have any tips/products to help a brother out?

Would a scarifier help a lawn thats been let grow and has become spongy and thick (approx 10cm) above soil or would it be easier to rip out and start new

Lawn Tips thanks mate, just bought the aerator. Keen to see the soaker’s results. I’m sick of using the cheap ‘Pope’ soaker hoses that leak after a week in the sun.

How's the water restrictions over your way? Seems like most of the regions in a pretty bad drought Also do you use water crystals? Cause your grass is so green I thought y'all were level 3 or 4 water restriction

He has a permit to use water on his lawn. It’s classed as a business and requires upkeep.

Hey mate, as long as your grass is actively growing, I'd go for it. Same with buffalo but don't be as aggressive. You can go to dirt with couch but buff needs a little bit left

Did mine 2 weeks ago... went heavy on the sand to get it even sort of didnt work will have to redo it next season. Dont know about your lawn but zoysia takes forever to bounce back 👍

Do you pick up the cores so that you can top dress straight away? Ive just aerated my lawn and am waiting for the cores to bread down before topdressing 🤷‍♂️

Hey mate, whenever I try to use my core aerator (similar to the one you use), dirt clumps up in the tines on the first go and doesn't seem to come out. Is my soil too wet? Kikuyu is my lawn for reference.

Your soil's not wet enough for the cores to be pushed out. What I do is first, spray a bit of Armor All or a lite coat of oil in the tines. If they start to clog up, get a sizeable bolt and bash from the other end to dislodge. Patients, patients is all you need.
