The reno looks great! I never really understood the whole Halloween Domination thing. It's dark when people T or T here. Unless I bring in stadium lights, there won't be anything to see. You must like your neighbors. I would be filing complaints with my local city with all those cars. Now they are parking them in the back yard, yikes!
Ah yes you get a neighbor with the trucks parked on the lawn, the junk in the driveway, and the trademark derby car on a trailer. For every action in a neighborhood, there is an equal and opposing re-action. Beautiful lawn!
Well, okay. Stripes. If that's what you like. Me, I like grass that's long, erect, green and uncut. Less uniform, less work, more zen. But to each their own. Leaving it alone so it can focus on root growth. // Can we use grass clippings for our veggie garden without risking its organic status? Occasional herbicides applied throughout the year to individual plants. No universal broadcasting except for milo and 10-10-10 in early fall. Grass is mulched throughout the year except for fall, when it's de-thatched & bagged for planting the occasional bare spot. No herbicides applied 6 weeks prior to bagging. No insecticides because they were not needed. Frankly, I'm enjoying just sitting back and taking in the rich green color of the lawn, a true marvel after the drought we went thru in July.
I usually mow on Halloween for max striping potential, but this year, like most, it will be raining all of Halloween day until 5:00 PM here in SW Michigan. So I had to do my prep yesterday. Can not wait for everyone's lawn domination videos to come out!! GO GET EM' THIS YEAR!! Have Fun.
Ryan your lawn always looks amazing no matter what. This is something I want to keep working at and get better at for the 2019 season since this year it was probably the first time I was able to really achieve noticeable stripes because my turf is getting much more healthier and thicker...thanks to all of you on RU-vid that are Lawn Care pros in my book !!!

When was this actually filmed? Because you still have leaves on the trees it's the 30th and our turf has lost its deep green. How far south in Iowa are You? I'm in La Crosse and my "Halloween" domination came and passed. The leaves across your street on the trees are still green this is not current.
@@ryanknorrlawncare that explains it. We been in the mid 50s in the day and mid 30s at night. The first or second week in October was my Halloween domination. My neighbors are envious and I didn't start the Milo regimen until July. Next year will be even better the backyard will get a spring over seed of KBG bewitched I think it's called from the seed superstore the backyard might get 3 hours of sun per day as the sun moves across the sky. Depending on how the spring over seed goes I may even do a fall as well. This yard before we moved in was the most hated. They grew dandelions. I'm envious of your lawn I will get there without a total kill. Once the snow melts next spring I will be probing the soil so I know when to apply my pre-emergent my list of things to order come Feb is growing 😁
