For 10 years of owning a home, my lawn looked like everyone else doing what everyone else did. For 2 years, I’ve been been following Lawncology and using their products and I’ve had the greenest and best lawn in the city. Don’t listen to this ludicrous video. Thanks Lawncology! Your products are the secret code to domination.
I appreciate that someone is willing to bring light to certain information, but I am not sure on your approach. Not only that but even if he was wrong on anything he said, he does not sell products that fix all of those issues so he wasn't trying to just sell more product. Also the context of 99% of John's videos speak to soil heath and how that health effects turf and other plants. I noticed several of your corrections did not take this theology into account, and most of your corrections were made from a industrial science perspective and less of a conservation perspective. All that to to simply say, it is okay to correct him and for him to be wrong, but not if you are going to take what he says out of context in order to do so. Please be more constructive and less destructive in future videos.
I’ve never met John Perry, don’t know him, don’t know why I’d ever meet him. But if he’s this lost and clueless I’m the luckiest guy on earth bc I started using his products a few months back and my yard looks better than it ever has!! I’ve got before and after pictures I’ll gladly share. Followed instructions as written on labels with multiple products and have had better, much faster results than any granular fertilizer I’ve ever used. Just my 2 cents. But I’m just a regular guy, definitely not a soil scientist lol
In these comments: People thinking that "Because I use his products and my lawn is green, and my neighbor doesn't and his lawn sucks, he must know what hes talking about!" In reality, 95% of that can be attributed to nitrogen solely. DO A TEST PLOT PEOPLE, ITS NOT HARD.
I don't know if you are right or wrong. I don't know 100% if John is right or wrong. I am not an expert. I do know that a cartoon telling me that he is wrong does not help me believe in the cartoon. Much of what you debunk is not about anything that affects my life. Lawncology seems to be ecologically sound. As far as iron oxide raised in a lowering the hem of a dress does not really matter to me. From everything I've seen is products are quite good. That does count. He does not seem to be pushing his particular products extremely hard. In fact I have heard him say that you could buy other products upon his recommendation for your particular soil, etc. I do wish you would step out from behind the cartoon and tell us your background and knowledge base. That would certainly make me feel more comfortable with your knowledge and what is going on. Feel free to send me a text or an email or anything and if I believe you have a sound scientific brain I will come on here and say so. Until then can you answer the question of why you hide behind a cartoon? Thank you.
Oh yes, "follow the science" and "listen to us no matter what because we are always right". Didn't science tell us that watering the lawn during the day will burn the grass. A myth that people still believe to this day.
I was using John Perry’s products long before he got on youtube selling them. I still use the full product line today on 600 customers lawns. He is a class act! I have never met a product supplier that will answer his phone at 6am or 11pm 7 days a week. This is a guy who while growing up started experimenting with lawn and plant products and developed his knowledge without the internet or youtube or even a university education. Say what you will, bash him, whatever. I know his products work! As for your channel I think people with half a brain will become bored with it but good luck to you in discrediting everyone that has ever wronged you.
I never thought I would see the day when a cartoon CNN reporter would do a bit on Lawns. I prefer not to get my info from a cartoon character…. Hiding behind a camera and a mic.
Disagree with nearly the entirety of this information I have used the product line professionally for years. My results are incredible. Yes one could create their own blends buying bulk ingredients separately but the convenience of one stop shopping saves me MASSIVE time. Adjust rates based on your applications and preferences. Soil-up approach is different than just hammering turf with material for crack-like performance.
@@TJP2010555 Could you list the specific videos and podcasts you are referring to. I don't have time to sort through all of his videos searching for the ones you refer to.
Mmm yea some one is looking for clicks on the backs of others. JP in my opinion is honest and open about his company I find Lawncology and his blog very useful in my own research and methods deployed not just his products. I have used many products and do extensive research. Some I will continue to use along with GCF products that I find have really brought life to my yard and I run a low N yard due to me being near a water way running into a river near by. I am happy with my purchases and results. GCF has a marketing channel more focused on sales and promotion. Heck if you gripe its expensive I have never had to pay for shipping and breaking down the rates used along with the cost of products I dont see a serious increase in price and I have better control of how much I want to use. On the comments below on the hide behind a cartoon many make this click video (That I fell for :P) even more hilarious most come across actually as pompous and talk down to people who use the products as misinformed yet give no real context other than talk down. This will get you argument no were.
50lb bag urea $40 51lb bag of AMS $15 How many gallons can you make? A lot and extremely less expensive. It is a significant price difference compared to the products you currently use. And you still can control how much you want to use. Oh btw, you did pay for shipping- wasn’t free shipping. It was included in the price of your purchased products.
Yea i think its cuz of shit like what tgf went through. They need to protect themselves, and some of these claims that are getting called out make people 💰. These people get mad and have attacked whole families in the name of what makes them money. If we didnt have such a psycho group who do things like that then they would probably be fine, but we dont, and it has happened before.
@@tiffanywhite2121 Hey, I did some research and by the amount of views...if TT is Monetized, the cartoon character has made at least $3000 for these videos and counting. That would be a cool fact to know. Can they prove they are doing this for the good of the people only?
@@derek0606 @derek0606 hey werent you the one all worried about your time? Also its interesting how youre off about the topic and try to change it to fit whatever narrative youre going for. At this point it's pretty obvious youre trying to defend claims Turf truth is exposing as false. What do you have to gain from it? What do you have to gain by trolling around here? Who are you trying to defend? What are you trying to defend?
@@jacobmorissette2367 No it's not because I don't make a anything but smiles from ignorance like yourself. Wait, did you answer any of my questions or just go straight to insult me?
I started using these products in July of 2020. I had reached a point in my business where the routine adherence to conventional wisdom was not solving my problems. After a lot of reading and listening to an array of different people from unrelated areas of soil I found a common thread and implemented that science, logic and wisdom into my own program and have produced a level that before was unattainable. My burning question is what are you doing with your "knowledge" and how you are affecting change in the area of soil health? The cheesy animation and cheap voiceover makes me think you are an incredibly insecure and profoundly bored unemployed professional student. I guess there has to be a troll for every endeavor...
“99% of the population will buy what’s on sale and apply to their lawn with no knowledge of soil, fertility, or interactions at different pH.” -John Perry Hmmmmm, So, basically 99% will buy anything. Even the product Perry sells because these people do not have knowledge of soil, fertility, or interactions at different pH.
“Soil tests should not be used for fertilizer recommendations, they shouldn’t…”, “I don’t recommend following what it says across the bottom of that page.” -John Perry Except now that a certain soil test recommends GCF products, that soil test and its recommendations most certainly can and should be followed. Those speaking out against aforementioned test simply do not understand how it works.
Let's go after Scotty Kilmer the car repair guy next. A source of bogus car repair information. Except I've used him a bunch of times to fix my car myself.
Was going to do this myself, pay @Lawncology for some feed back on my soil test as I am new to this and wanted to get started in the right direction. I visited @Lawncology 's website to purchase the soil test review, it was marked as "sold out". I did see in a video John listed an email to send questions to. I supplied a pdf of my soil test and a short question, honestly expecting no answer. I figured John had moved on from this route. To my surprise I received an answer the very same day, for $0.00. Can't say anything bad about that. I enjoy @Lawncology 's video. They provide me with information and a new area to start further researching in my off-time.
Hi @unitedwestand. We do not target any person or company. Only claims. If Ryan Knorr (or anyone) has a claim you would like us to review, please post it and we will take a look. Thank you.
Great channel. Great info. Glad to see somebody who cares enough to debunk all the shams and shysters hawking products. You have also attracted an angry troll following who are unable to even debate your points, much less give a valid criticism of them. Instead all they do is attack you for being anonymous and the fact that you dont hawk products or make recommendations, which just shows their motives are dishonest. Keep up the good work!
There are at least three other sellers pooping their pants over lawncology's vid. It definitely a case of people looking at a problem and claiming that the best solution is whatever they are selling.
@@jacobmorissette2367 Good advice except he is asking for elaboration to an opinion from the OP giving the opinion. I'm curious as well. We can all do our own research. However, asking someone to elaborate is just that. There is always a 'why' behind the opinion. The opinion alone is empty without the 'why'.
@@Darth_Skater Matt Martin (The Grass Factor) did a great video on humic acid that Turf Truth actually commended him on in the comments. Go check it out.
I have an Associates of arts in ecology. A lot of what mr. Lawncolegy says is not accurate. And the way he states things is ambiguous. I find it frustrating to listen to him. However, the products work. Just not the some of the ways he "explains " them.
All the lawn care divas act like only they know the secret to success then push $ products. Sure the products work but the average homeowner can simply get a soil test, fertilizer recommendations, and other tips from your agricultural extension service AND you will have a great lawn if you follow their recommendations All these guys want views and your $. Lawn care is not rocket science. Ask any worker cutting someone’s grass about ca/mg ratios or CEC and capture that dazed look on their face Remember clicks on this guy’s channel and paying for his product finance his putting green
John Perry AKA Dirt Judas (Formerly Known as Dirt Jesus), I can't believe I fell for the BS. I'm writing off the money I wasted on GCF products as a learning experience. Tsk-tsk. 🙁
Did John Perry sell you a stolen Corvette with the odometer rolled back? It's liquid fertilizer lol, not your child's college trust fund. Caveat emptor, buddy. Sorry you're not good at budgeting and shopping around.
@@andrewszabo1552 Brother don't Caveat Emptor me if you're the one buying this guys stuff. You and I are going to become friends before this is over. Haters will become learners.
I got a ton of free entertainment and my lawn is fun to take care of thanks to JP. He hardly mentions his products. All the DIY YT guys have similar advice and it got my lawn nicer using less product.
@@Bob46374 And that’s totally fine. If they have shown you the warning signs and you wish to proceed than that’s your decision. I was in the same boat but Air8 was my breaking point with JP.
