I don't know whch I love most, the fact that they GOT her to play, or the fact she actually LEARNED 'Egg Sandwich' AND 'Watch Out Grandma'. May whatever Gods and Goddesses exist nurture you MIss Wilde. :D
Er what!!!!! Just one of the funniest, and best things on RU-vid , if anyone reads this , a wee lawnmower deth tale as they are a hoot , when 1 were 16 in 1986 I wrote ( by letter) to the band requested their 1st tape , had no idea what it was but I bought kerrang and they sounded insane , isent a letter containing a host of gardening related questions! When the tape came it was accompanied by a lengthy and truly hilarious diatribe on all forms of grass care!!!!! Sadly it's well lost now but omg you have to love them ... and Kim Wilde, kinda reminded me of old with extreme noise terror at some award show, on RU-vid, check it out ya'll....peace and vegetable rights.... but destroy grass obviously!!🙂
This is bloody brilliant, sorry for my potty mouth, but bloody hell Kim Wild & Lawnmower Deth what a colab as my kids would say! Thanks Steve for linking me this you old git.
Only became aware of LD through an old friend, Ozzy Prendergast. They were meant to play Scunthorpe in the early '90s, being supported by mENTAL sEIZURE, but ended up just attending without playing. Sadly, Mr P was taken in a motorbike accident about 15 years ago. I really wish he could've seen this.
Saw then in 1991 in Milton Keynes. Kin great night...got kicked in the face by a stage-diving biker girl. Loved it. They celebrated one band members birthday (that night) by throwing baked beans at us at the front. Good times...way back before having fun was banned!
Dave Pegg ought to invite these to play Cropredy, would be brilliant! Saw them at Doncaster Toby Jug in the 80's / early 90's. My ears are still ringing!!!!!
Lol....brilliant. ...I seen em in Chesterfield Adam and Eve nightclub in the 80s n it's was fun mental...lol...but great...I love lawnmower deth. .well done to Kim for avin a laugh... I got the vinyl still with metal duck on the reverse..
So comparing the original lawnmower deth video to this modern one.... The obviously has a bloke and Kim singing. The original has two blokes singing - is current bloke long haired or short haired one from old?
I remember watching these muppets on late Friday/early Saturday morning Rage back in the early 90's when the Australian ABC used to do the occasional Metal night, everything from these guys to the Metallica doco of the making of the Black album to Bolt Thrower, Carcass, Pestillence, Suicidals, the other Deth & a fuckload of other great bands. Good times, makes me want a time machine.
