It's OBVIOUS: Trump keeps a folder of news clippings and articles of Milley claiming Trump wanted to declare war on Iran AND Trump tries to use a classified document of "How to Declare War on Iran" strategy that trump likely ordered Milley to provide him (hence, why Milley said Trump wanted to go to war with Iran). So, Trump thinks he can use the classified document because it has milley's name on it, it somehow proves it was "Milley who wanyed to declare war on Iran -- not me!(Trump).!". How effing petty. Milley's statements are STILL bothering Trump. He really has the beain of a 14yo child, and Yrump even stated in 2020 that he "should do what Obama did to get re-elected and declare a new war, perhaps, Iran.". Heck, he took out that Iranian general ...and injured several of our own troops in the process.

It is understandable that folks are angry. However, a person is considered innocent until proven guilty (or they plead guilty without a trial). To lock Trump up now would require a judge to decide that Trump is a flight risk. Meanwhile, he is running his mouth and digging himself in deeper and deeper. If he were to flee, he would have to go to a country that does not have an extradition treaty with the US. Otherwise, he would be extradited and brought back to the US, and from then on would most likely be in custody. HTH.

At this point, his Fifth Amendment rights won't help him. The Fifth Amendment only protects a person from being forced to testify against himself or herself in court. Any statement that the person freely makes outside of court can be used against him - hence the Miranda rights that include inter alia the requirement that when a person is arrested, he or she must be informed that anything that he or she says can be used against him or her.

As a prior (retired) contracting officer focused mainly on construction, ive heard and seen hundreds of construction plans/drawings. They are printed on lower thickness/quality paper, the rustling papers I heard on the recording were on much thicker, higher quality paper, closer to resume quality paper. I don't believe this latest lies, i think its likely what is on the recording likely is the cardstock classified coversheet and pages of the document. Should be interesting what the witnesses have to say.

That's really the important part of the tape - he admitted he knew the process, did not conduct the process, and could no longer do it. This shows hew was fully aware of this before he was caught for not doing it. The problem for Donald is that those who witnessed the paper rustling in the audio testified before a Grand Jury. There were multiple witnesses. The prosecution's questions would've been "did you see the document that he (Donald) was referring to? Was it a magazine, newspaper, building plans etc, or as is indicated, a classified document?" There's no way the prosecution would be interested in this audio, if they didn't rule out all alternative possibilities. This is why a Grand Jury reviewed the evidence.
