This was indeed a fabulous orchestra, the highest of musical standards, and extremely versatile style wise.

I always loved this show back in the sixties but I appreciate this amazing orchestra now more than ever. What incredible talent these musicians were!

For those of us "antique kids" who lived during this era, your releasing of these sweet videos on a Saturday lends to the fun nostalgia of when we were young and gathered as a family each week to be entertained by the elegance of Lawrence and his "musical family". Thanks so much for sharing these WUNNERFUL (as Lawrence would say) programs!!! ;o)

That was a nice try to try to imitate Ted Lewis, but no one could be as good as Ted Lewis. He had a rare gift when he did his act with his expression "Is everybody happy?" I loved watching Ted Lewis do his famous act "Me and my shadow" with a black actor playing the "shadow." That was in an Abbott and Costello movie dated in 1940 that I have on a dvd.
