F. Lee Bailey, the lawyer known for his successful defense of O.J. Simpson in the former football star’s headline-grabbing murder trial, has died at age 87. During the 1985 Simpson trial, Bailey cross-examined former Los Angeles police officer Mark Fuhrman, bringing light to Fuhrman’s use of racial slurs, which sowed seeds of doubt in the minds of jurors who ultimately acquitted Simpson. Simpson took to social media to memorialize his lawyer and friend. #InsideEdition

Honestly he'd be in prison if there wasn't audio of the cop (I think he was a cop) saying the n word. That being played in court made it look like they were going after OJ only because he was black and the fact that he was a celebrity instilled doubt and sympathy in the jury 😒

When my ex wife was a young girl, her folks were embroiled in a rough custody battle in Boston. Her mom had hired Bailey to try to win her custody of Anita (my ex) and her older brother. As Anita told it: "We were sitting out in the hallway of the courthouse while mom and dad were arguing over who would get custody. Mr. Bailey came out to where we were sitting, and asked us "Who would you rather live with, your mommy or your daddy?" I said to him- "Daddy, because mommy beats us". Very soon after, the father was granted custody. This is how a real lawyer wins cases.

Great story. Did Anita make the right choice in the end?
@andyginterblues2961
@andyginterblues2961 3 года назад
@@neverthirsty5047 She sure did. Her dad is the most mellow guy in the world, her mom unfortunately suffers from PTSD, she had to flee the Red Army along with her parents when the Balkans were "annexed" by Soviet Russia. Both of Anit's parents were Latvian refugees, met in a Red Cross refugee camp in Germany, got sponsored in Newton, Mass. Amazing people, very scary stories.

He didn't use this emotion to describe his ex wife after she was murdered.... *However* shows this emotion to the guy who kept him from being behind bars.... Edit: He may of been charged with that crime but, the Las Vegas hostage was very bad and shows he was capable.
