I always had issues with layering on a trail. I had too much layering or not enough. After watching 'Metro on the Move' thru-hiking the FHT and PMT, I noticed he wore the same jacket every day. I asked him what it was and he said it's from a company named Senchi. It's called an Alpha 60 Hoodie. I'm so impressed I bought one too. I tried it out on a 2 1/2 mile local trail and found it was exactly what I was looking for. I would recommend this to any cold weather hiker.
