Hello and greetings from north wales UK...nice informative video's. I like what your doing with your new shelf layout , it's given me a few ideas about a little " N" gauge setup I may try in the future. To go with my 00 and micro 0 gauge stuff !! Eagerly awaiting video 7 and seeing progress from there on .. keep well and safe . Have subscribe to chanel for all your latest stuff . All the best . Allan

Great lesson on soldering. So many seem to think of solder like a conductive hot glue. What you're doing is mixing/alloying molten metal.

Very interesting, I wonder why you decided to have all those feed points instead of feeding between the heads of the back to back points on the left? All roads will be live all the time so if you have more than one loco on the layout they will all move at the same time. Foam idea is very good. Cheers

@@ModelRailwaysUnlimited I want electrical reliability, and will only be used with one loco as a shunting puzzle. So not relying on point blades and fishplates will make it more reliable. Also, if I want to run more than one loco, I intend to make the layout where I can plug in a seperate DCC controller, and then I am already wired for that
