Thank you so much for the review! Commenting to say I’ve never heard the phrase “ummed and ahhed!“ Here in the South (US) we say “hemmed and hawed.” I love dialect differences! 😁
Yay! I just ordered this a couple of weeks ago and can’t wait to start. We are starting a gentle feast cycle 1 form 1 this fall and are adding it to morning time. I need habit training myself so I’m excited about it.
Thank you ! This was a great review :) I saw this mentioned at a convention I went to and have decided to try it next year with my boys, who are 8 and 13. I love the CHarlotte Mason philosophy and have also purchased several of their Portfolio History and Picture studies for next year :)
New subscriber here ♥️ also a RU-vid homeschooling mom! I have wanted to see an explication of this book / idea for a long time. Yes! Obedience with a conversation!
What’s up with these “wanna be RU-vid friends?” people 🤣 Lockdown apparently we all all prisoners. Looking forward to your opinion. Sonya’s videos are so great! *This was a great review! I look forward to more SCM reviews. 👍
So glad to have found your channel! I love SCM and so glad to hear this great review. We are planning on doing laying down the rails too 😊 I was trying to pick your accent... American/Kiwi? Hello from Australia 🙏
Hey there! So glad to have you. :) My accent is a mess, ha! I'm actually originally from South Africa, have lived in NZ for almost my entire life, but have had a lot of US influence. :P
@@ThisHomeschoolHouse I was wondering about the South African part, I recognised it, being South African myself. Great channel and fantastic review, thank you.
Hi! How is this curriculum going for your family so far? Do you still like it? I’m currently looking at character/habit training books and curriculum and would love to hear how it’s gone this far for you. Thanks in advance! I love your channel and your content, always encouraging and helpful!
My 3 year old is very interested in learning and discussing things already, would you recommend these books for an age that young, or did you really fell like it was mostly helpful for your 5 year old and not younger children?
If you plan on continuing to use it then yes, I definitely recommend getting it. The beauty of the curriculum is that you can modify it to suit the needs of your child. :)
I think we need to remember that Charlotte mason lived in a past era so we need to make the way we teach more Moden day but still do it like she would probably today. I’ve been hearing of this for a while now.
