This is a well done version. Musically it is spot on. Only thing missing is the ANGUISH & TORTURE of how Layne sang it. That's only because this cat ain't Layne...that said,he does a very good job of bringing it. Well done ,gentlemen!!
FIREEEEE!!! I especially like the ending, where it takes it back to letting people know, like, yea it is just a video. It makes it feel more home-grown in my opinion.
I'm speechless! That was the best cover Ive heard in a long long time. Being a huge AIC and Layne Staley fan, I would usually scoff at the idea of someone covering such a powerful and timeless song. But you guys KILLED it!!!
Nobody noticed he said "common green" instead of "army green?" Almost as bad as Aaron Lewis's rendition of "nutshell" where he flubs part of the lyrics. That aside, great cover! Awesome voice
I agree, but... does he really need to sound like Layne? I mean... does he need to imitate him? IDK if that's the real point of being a tribute band. The essence is there. If you want to hear a clone of Layne, go find a band named "Skorned". The vocalist is Layne 2.0
If you're going to attempt to cover an AIC song, at least have the decency to get the lyrics correct. I'm not sure why people cover AIC just leave it alone, you're fucking it up.
