Love this comment...I don't know anyone in my actual life that listens to AIC or even knows who Layne Staley was. Comment sections of videos like this are where I find "my people." You know? Wish I could take you up on that offer next Thanksgiving 🥀
Geez i feel such a creep,is it to weird to be in my 40s and obsesed with this man....😯his voice has this weird afect on me,i cant get enough of his voice, perfect tone, gut wrenching and darkly melodic..his voice resonance is so strong dear god!!!!!layne you are godly, otherwortly magical😄we all miss you my sweet prince!!!!!
I swear I feel the same. Im 54. His vocals touch me more than any other artist ever, in any genre of music. I swear he pierces my soul. I call him a vocal god.
@@StaleyStation thank you!!!!!!😂nice to know im not the only one......reminds of "junkhead"(cause we are an elite race of our one,the stoners, junkies and freaks!!!)well im the freak allright....bahahahah😆
Well I am 63 and was here for the original AIC ..when Layne was at his best and even when the drugs numbed him he could still sing ..a little differently not as powerful but it was STILL amazing .We all have seen his decline and hurt right along with him...the media only talks about his addiction not the Rock LEGENDARY POWER HOUSE Thunder of a VOICE he REALLY WAS !! WE KNOW THIS and will keep him alive everyday until we no longer breathe!! I was there for the 70 Rock Music Era and A I C brought it all beautifully back like a flood !! No one in over 30 years can hold a candle or has sang into a microphone the way Layne could or sang his way into our souls !!
I’m 38 and was here for it too. This band was the soundtrack to my teenage and early adult years. We even hitchhiked to Seattle to camp out outside his condo to meet him. After a week of constant harassment, he invited us up. We smoked weed and he did… his shit. But we all played acoustic guitar and sang songs and played vidya games. He bought our loser asses some pizzas then sent us on our way home with a great story. To answer everyone’s questions, yes he had false teeth but didn’t wear them because he said they hurt and he needed new ones
god am kanas city his last live he just od ed before he got on live too then after he was something else i acouldnt imagine being sick doing a whole show but i think it brought the best out of him it was better than the unplugged which he disappered for years and comes back still with it without teeth too he was special we will never get someone like him again we get nicki manji now
I don't go broke and I do it a lot...said I do it a lot! Absolutely stunning demigod level mastery! The King Of The Kats Is Dead, Long Live The King! All Hail Lord Layne 🤘☠️🤘
There will never be anther voice like that, or Cornell. Was listening to the AIC box set last weekend. Holy F. His voice could cut through steel, but still be soft and easy, unbelievable
This is the sad part for anyone! Layne was so loved by so many. It didn't make a difference or save him. This is sad for anyone and everyone. Because if anyone thinks love will save this world, You are sadly mistaken.
Seems so sick, to the , hypocrite noOoOoOooo ....that line is so heavy, and so true, then he hits us with the " content n fully aware" and its probably the best description of being an addict there ever was recorded
What's the music at the start of the vid? Like it, very grungy :). Also, here because I'm planning to do this song acoustically at an open mic and need some inspiration from the man himself :)
