I've bought both Layton and Layton Exclusif. If you wait untill the total dry down on both on my skin exclusif blows the original out the water and becomes sweeter and it lasted longer. Wow

I got Layton and im absolutely in love with it and recieve compliments very often when wearing it. With that said im still very curious about layton Exclusif and im thinking whether it’s reasonable to own both or not?

Layton Exclusif is Boss in a bottle, incredible blend. This is The WINNER's circle. Parfums De Marley hit it out of the park with this one. My favorite woodsy fragrance is Terre D'Hermes edp the cedar wood dry down is niche quality. Royal Oud is dope, quality sandalwood.

this is one unique experience. my first pdm arrived today. i fooked up no less. i thought i ordered layton, well it turns out i ordered a 75ml bottle of layton exclusif in error. i opened the box, and almost dropped it as soon as i saw the exlusif in the name. i opened the celly, slid out the box, removed the bottle from its perch... i am absolutely gob smacked. it is fantastic. im not a perfumer of any sort, i just like what i like. it opens fresh, almost minty blasts, then the transition happens in short order. i get the woodiness, but it almost comes off like a rich pipe tobacco, very warm, very luxurious. for certain a cooler weather fragrance. it packs a punch, i reckon i'll start with 3 sprays max. well so much for layton, i think carlisle may be the next blind buy. great channel bud, you do a awesome job.

I have a bottle of Layton and would love to try the Exclusif. Two recent woody (oud) purchases of mine come to mind. I have Gucci Intense OUD which is nice but was a blind buy and not quite what I had in mind. Right now my favorite woodsy fragrance is Boos Bottled OUD. This one grows on me more every time I wear it. I absolutely love this scent!

Very nice to see your take on this. I actually felt the opposite about it, relative to the original Layton. Despite my estimation that addition of coffee and oud would lead me to prefer Exclusif over the original, I actually ended up appreciating the apple intensity of the original even more. That said, I still need to retry Exclusif a couple times as I did only try it once. And my favorite woody fragrance is Tom Ford Italian Cypress!

I smell such a synthetic accord in this one especially, as I do most of this line. So brilliant at the opening and hints of genius mids, but overwhelmed by a synthetic core. Respectfully.

Great straight to the point presentation as usual. No one has a better layout than you on reviews. As for my favorite woodsy, it has to be vintage Dior Homme Intense. I can see why they are so expensive now.

I adore Maison Martin Margiela by the fireplace! The guaiac wood is amazing! And it is so comforting during those cold winter nights! Definitely a cuddle up fragrance!

completely original i think, is the scent from "Zephyrwood". it is the stores on scent, and is so unique, i love it. due to an accident and a lot of weight gain from being unable to move much, i had to shop at "big" stores, like DXL. walking into the store, had this manly scent, and when i saw it was available to purchase, grabbed it right away. a hidden gem. i like that i have never smelled this on anyone else.

Great Review Steven! I was wondering why you hadn't reviewed this one yet. My favorite woodsy notes in fragrances are Vetiver and Oud and probably Encre Noire is at the top.

Nice review Steven. I love the Layton Exclusif and the original one. Both amazing. The fragrance with woodsy notes that I prefer from this house is Nisean. Amazing and had an enormous performance (I sprayed on my arm at 10:00 PM and the fragrance lasted 20+ hours - I don't know the end because I took a shower before). Have a great weekend my friend!

Comptoir Sud Pacifique Aoud Nuit... Begins with soft moth balls and moderate animalic with added sweetness and spices then dry down into sensual creamy suede.woody caramel delight... Rare, underrated, very different and addicting..

That’s an easy one for me. Best cologne to me with a Woodsy note is John Varvatos Vintage with the Wormwood. Even though the longevity isn’t the best, it is by far one of my favorite scents. Thanks for this review. Can’t wait to get my hands on this fragrance. I’ve been hearing great things about Original Layton as well.

No civet note in this one. The fragrance notes of Layton Exclusif according to the Parfums de Marly website are as follows: Top Notes: Bergamot, Grapefruit, Apple. Heart Notes: Geranium, Cinnamon, Lavender, Agarwood. Base Notes: Cypriol, Guaiac Wood, Patchouli, Vanilla.

Didn't have the chance to sample any Parfum de Marly perfumes. I'm a big oud fan and Layton Exclusif sound exquisite and classy. Will have to try Layton Exclusif next time i go abroad. My favorite woody fragrances have to be Lalique pour homme Equus and Nejma 3

Actually, I don't like woodsy fragrances but I would like to try the Layton Exclusiv because it is so hard to find PDM fragrance here in Thailand. I've already tried the original Layton and it was so amazing! not too sweet and it has some depth in it and it performs like a beast on me! I've worn Layton from 6am and after the shower at 1am on the other day, I could still smell it!

Fahrenheit. It's been my signature for years. I still have a bottle produced in 2006 and I don't want to finish it, I just smell the atomizer every now and then. Givenchy Xeryus Rouge is a close second, it does have a cedar wood note, but it isn't in the woody family so I don't think it counts :)
