ABOUT ME
I am 25 years old. I was born in Poland and grew up in the UK. I am married to a wonderful man called Maciej with whom I vlog on a seperate channel (everdaters). I also lived in places such as Paris and Alesund in Norway throughout my life.
Why fragrances? I have always been very sensitive to smells. For example I remember being 6 years old and going on a fishing trip with my family. After catching fish I could smell fish oil on my hands for days but no one believed me. Wherever I lived I always spent hours in my local fragrance shop and get to know many amazing fragrances. Now I am sharing my passion for fragrances on RU-vid. I hope I can bring you value by introducing you to new fragrances and hopefully someday interviewing perfumers and giving you an insight into the perfume industry. My dream perfumer to interview is Frederic Malle, just saying :)

Layton is a fragrance that I instantly fell in love at first smell. I purchased a sample spray after hearing so many praises on it, and it was actually much better than I expected. Needless to say, I purchased the full bottle for it shortly after. It's simply a masterpiece!

Great review! My first time wearing Layton I applied 5 sprays, unaware of how it projects, then went to small cafe for my morning coffee. It went downhill from there. I learned that one or two sprays is sufficient, and doesn’t offend most people.

You should almost never put on a fragrance and instantly walk out. I always apply atleast 30 min before i leave and always do 5 sprays no matter what fragrance.

I find Layton nauseating. I tried it today and got a decant and it seems like the smell is getting stronger the longer its on my arm. I think I'm already sick of it and its only been a few hours

Another Posh review done by you. I smelt this fragrance before in a retail store and it smelt so comestible. I had an overwhelming affection for it. I guess you were so blown away by the Aroma and forgot to specify that it was Parfums de Marly Layton "Royal Essence" because there is another one called Layton "Exclusif". Herod is another Full package beast mode I've smelt.Thanks so much

Layton is my favorite fragrance I’ve ever owned. I only would use it for nights out/date night. I wouldn’t use it as an everyday casual fragrance. I use Percival for everyday casual use.

Props for picking out that pepper note Monika. Not many people catch it in the base. I'm more of a Layton Exclusif man myself. Really like the cinnamon note in the mid of that one. And despite so many people mentioning oud and coffee, they're not officially listed as notes! Keep up the excellent work!! 💙💙💙

Great videos btw. I bought layton because of your video and other reviewers blind. Something very Odd that only ONE other youtube reviewer mentioned after i bought it unfortunately. So I tried layton 2 days in a row. Office full of women/nurses. 5 sprays. day 1 nobody noticed that I had cologne after 4 hours. The next day 7-10 sprays. neck, collar on my shirt and chest. I sprayed it on at 730am got into work around 830-9. multiple compliments. I was so excited I finally might have found the one daily. BUT by the time the 5 hour mark comes around 12-1230pm one of my nurses walks into my office and tells me my office smells like an old musk/aftershave her grand dad wears. She said "I hope that cologne wasn't expensive" I said No way That cant be. I called in another co worker- later she said your office smells sort of musky woodsy like and old man. Today I come across a youtuber named "scentscavanger" and hes the only one that talks about the pungent musk/wood smell after the dry down. ITS VERY STRANGE. NOBODY ELSE has said anything about the dry down. This is AT BEST 2-3 hour date night cologne then wash off ASAP.

my next perfume was meant to be layton after this pandemic, and decided to look into all reviews on it before making the decision (great review btw) but after trying out some perfumes in my collection, I gave JPG Ultramale a try and after it drying down for I think 2 hours, I started to notice that it reminded me of Layton so much, as if it's a 95% clone, imagine layton's drydown without the spice and that's what Ultramale's drydown is, to me atleast, if that's the case than Ultramale could be an alternative to Layton if anyone doesn't wanna pay that much for PDM, the opening and mid is different tho, it was sprayed on skin btw, not outfit

Definitely in the same ballpark. The dry down on UM is awesome but the opening is waaay too sweet for me. The new JPG Le Male Parfum is a winner, it’s the most wearable JPG for me.

People complaining that this has been reformulated and doesn't last as long because it went from a 78% to 82% are letting their minds get the best of them. It's a placebo effect. This stuff still lasts 8-12 hours easily and projects like a beast. Quit flipping out, if you buy it today, it's still *phenomenal*.

its unbelievable! i tested (2 sprays on the same spot) on my hand... after 3 days i still can detect it! i showered 4 times and washed my hands x times... i never had such an experience! and I have normal skin with normal fragrance longevity but this stuff is like burned into my skin

Great video , I bought Herod first and absolutely love it and a few days ago purchased Layton and I adore it. I feel that Layton can be a signature scent , as Herod smells more heavy and I feel it would be too much on a warm summer day, I’ll use Layton to work and as a daily fragrance and Herod on cold evenings. I hope you can also review : Reflection man. I have a clone sample and I really like it.

I stacked Layton with Versace pour homme and it mixed wonderfully. It actually gave it better projection for a longer period of time. I recommend giving it a shot! Take care 🙂

Layton's projection on my skin is crazy good!! There is a huge scent cloud. I'm always getting compliments when I wear it. On me it last 10 to 12 hours! This winter, I'm mostly wearing Parfums De Marly Herod, Carlisle, Godolphin, and Oajan, and Layton here and there.

I don't like Layton but I respect it. I like Percival more because it is nice upgrade or modern version of my old signature scent, Chanel Egoiste Platinum. Maybe it is generic but it means a lot for me :)

I had high hopes when I bought Layton. However, despite the fragrance being lovely, the performance on my skin is just awful... barely any projection after an hour and barely a skin scent not too long after that. I'm going to keep it for special occasions that are short in duration and take a little atomizer to re-apply as required.

Steve Power when my coworker wears this he claims that he’s gone anosmic to it even though I can’t smell it on him either. I’ll have it on for the same amount of time but it will still be projecting off of me, so skin type REALLY comes into play here

Would it a good idea for me to spend that much money on Layton, when I dont like JPG ultra male at all? Because as I have heard People say, it smells sweet and I dont Think Sweet fragrance are something for me. I like the original JPG tho, and Dior Savage and so on.. But for sure not JPG ultra male. Do you Think Layton is a good option for me? It has some freshing Vibe to it, But People say Its sweet. Im scared spending that much money if I Will regret. Please help.

The sample set is bit of a con, I have a 10ml Layton decant for a tenner. Great scent, similar in a way to Ysl Y edp but much more complex and mature, I love it

@@hocineted7594 No but there are elements in the dry down, it's a divine smell and has never failed to get compliments. Tried the regular Layton, now have Royal Essence coming can't wait to try it. Monika is right, regular Layton is more of an every day scent albeit rather special.

Have you try Carlisle? It's really good. I have Herod n Layton and Layton Exclusif too. Wonderful fragrance

david sugar it’s disgusting , it’s an penetrating gourmand almond scent... not a compliment getter... this is my sincere and genuine opinion and believe me.. I own lots of PDM frags cos I love the house... donts are galloway, Pegasus , Kalan. The king is Herod! My love: 1. Herod 2. Layton 3. Carlisle . Thank me afterwards x

There is something I m not getting- I got a sample, I like it, smells good but not a wow fragrance to me. but when I wear it around my female friends they go bananas. WHAT IS GOING ON!
