Layton VS Carlisle | who is the WINNER? 

I live in California and I own them both. Temperature today was 99 degrees and I wore Carlisle. Nonstop compliments. 3 sprays. Trust me, temperature doesn't matter. Dont do more than 3 maybe 4 sorays though.

First, you made me buy Layton because you liked it so much. And now I went and bought Carlisle, despite the fact it was 97 degrees F in Florida yesterday. Be a friend: please stop enticing me with your fragrance preferences! 😘

Next things I'm buying are Herod, Carlisle, and Haltane. I'm a hetrosexual woman, and I just love the 'masculine' line from PdM. So much more than the feminine one.

I just purchased layton, and its incredible!

For me Carlisle wins hands down, it’s one of the most complex amazing fragrances I have ever tried, easily the best PDM

The first thing I thought when opening Layton was "is this legal?" It's the movie "Basic Instinct" in fragrance form. Truly staggering.

Love Layton as it develops on my skin,the dry down, the projection and the longevity it’s amazing. I highly recommend layton. At least for me it’s better because I live in a hot weather.

The skin changes the fragrance though. I’ve smelled a Carlisle tester on my skin and it was ok, but Layton SOARS! It’s my go to signature scent at this point. I never thought something would beat Aventus, but Layton did it immediately.

No doubt Carlise is awesome , a classy man fragrance and stays forever ! In the drydown I'll compare Straight to Heaven white cristal with Carlise

Layton is fantastic. Excited about the new Sedley. I've heard great things about it.

Owning both I would say get both. They’re both excellent in their own arenas.

Carlisle is so nice and Layton blew me away. Quality fragrances.

*Nice comparison,Demi!* Many PdMs have to my nose unpleasant synthetic tones during scent development. Carlisle was the 1st one for me of interest, great gourmand for winter season.

Just purchased Layton because of your love for it. Definitely appreciate the females point of view. Even though I have to smell it all day, great to know what girls think of it. I feel like what you wear for a fragrance is important when you’re on dates or meeting people. Thanks Demi.

Oh yeahhhhh been waiting for this one. I'm obsessed with Carlisle.

Carlise is my fave of the two. It may be cool if you do a little running competition and see which fragrance can make it to the number one in pairing contests like these. It sometimes is easier to compare just two fragrances vs 5 or 10 unless you have a very good nose. Would make for some fun YT and IG threads. BTW - I am a huge fan of the way you say "here". Makes me smile. :)

Both are great everytime i wear carlya a woman ask me what are you wearing i get alot of compliments from Layton

Both are perfect. I wear Layton more often because it’s more versatile.

Carlisle is king more depth and more complex. But both are masterpieces

Where I live is high humidity, I just tired samples of both a lean Layton. I hear the new Sedley fragrance is super fresh though! Going to grab Layton this week, sample Sedley next month, if I like will pick up. Carlisle will be probably be my early fall pick up.

Carlisle is a much better fragrance! Has endless depth, longevity and smells very uneque! An exceptional fragrance. My most complemented fragrance of all time as well. Best from the entire line. If you want a similar cheapie Alexandria Fragrances - Hafez 1984 (Killer longevity and has a hint of leather)

Layton and Percival I would recommend if your in college. Most PDMs are too mature and attract cougars if that your thing.

I still prefer Layton hands down :) This will probably put me in the minority but the decant of Carsile that I have smelled like an old lady that is wearing a sweater that was moth balled in a old church :( yuck. But with that said I'm going to give Carlisle another shot in a few months. I have Galloway coming this week :) SOOOOOO EXCITED! I do like both. But I can't help but feel they are both a little feminine. Great smells. But quite sweet and too unisex for me. Absolute beast mode in both though and very well made.

i just picked up royal equestrian by alexandria because i cant afford layton.... its not a bad clone and i havent smelled layton so i cant really say anything else except it’s an amazig smell and i havnt got a compliment yet but ill test it out more 👌🏽

Layton is good but it was never a wow fragrance for me, cause i find it very similar to Pure Havane which i used alot in the past. Although their notes seem to be different but there are definite similarities. Same thing with Carlisle but not as much, i find it has similarities with Amouage Jubilition XXV another masterpiece of a fragrance

I tried today almost all de marly cents. Percival is not unique for me, similar to many other cheap fragrances. Beside Layton, Carlisle is suprising me from hour to hour. I like it very much. I will it smell it tommorow again. Its so hard to decide girls. 😅

I have smelled carlisle and it was really amazing.. like wow.. but tbh .. layton and carlise are equal to me, i love them both.. layton is just a bit higher in my rating like you would put layton on a penny next to carlise.. thats how close they are.. And also i feel like layton is much more unique, i have smelled all of the PDM fragrances and i felt like carlisle reminds me one of them in the opening cant really remember whitch one.. what do you think ?
