LAZARETTO is an immersive first-person survival horror game that puts players in the shoes of an urban explorer - whose investigation of an abandoned quarantine island turns into a strange, surreal and dangerous adventure.

Lazaretto is a game for those who enjoy getting lost in mysteries. Chapter One teases you with strange and unusual events in which not everything can be explained.

And here we are 4 years later with, alas, no Chapter 2. I was having fun (bless you, Chris - I would never have played this game myself). Loved the awful sounds, the dang spiders, little Sally, being left hanging from the cliff in the final scene... fortunately, there's a rope tied to something at the top of the cliff, so all I have to do is swing off to Chris' next playthrough! Hmmm, The Glass Staircase? Don't think I've watched that one.

It's a good time whenever CJU posts! Generally effective sound design, imo. And despite being a potpourri of horror tropes, I enjoyed the game--it's a smörgåsbord of silliness for the damned.

dang, who knew u were playing so many bad games behind the scenes! thank u for your sacrifice... lol, if u havent played it already, Dreaming Mary is a really good indie horror game! its free, and its short enough that you can get all the endings without it being a big deal that you have to start over (at least i was fine with it, idk what other people consider short/long). but i think theres actually some sort of special ending if you get all the endings on one save file? just a suggestion! this is NOT a spoiler, just a tip if you do end up playing it: the very first thing when you start playing is a radio, and a lil pop up that tells you the controls. dont move until the speaker is done, or youll cut her off! ive seen ppl do it, and i wanted to let you know cause i know u hate missing lore n stuff. also she says different things every time, but i think after the first time you can move around the room without it cutting her off :) hope i dont sound pushy or whatever, just a suggestion since you said youve been playing lots of really boring/bad indie horror games! love ur channel :)

I've seen other gamers play it, but stopped their videos because I didn't get the same entertainment, like when you play games. just a suggest. But great game 😊

You know, I was curious if this was based off of Poveglia Island, and I had to look it up to spell it and ask here. Then I saw the name of the game on the wiki page for the real island, and that answered that question. This already has potential!

That was an interesting looking game. Feels like it touched on the dark side of older styled mental hospitals where human experimentation ran rampant and some of the disfigured patients were sold to carnivals. The Plague Doctor's mask feels like one of those things loosely linking a medical themed person to a carnival side-show. Possible ties between the show and hospital became a source of income for the latter adn the mystical aspect could be the fortune teller sensing the dispairing spirits lingering on the ground who then gained enough strength to manifest. Now the Doctor is going to make a new attractino out of our protagonist and it's very interesting.

I will be putting this on my "Watch Again" list! I've seen this game before but thankfully it was so long ago that I completely forgot everything that happens it. I do remember that I enjoyed it back then but I certainly enjoyed it even more now. I'd love to see what Chapter 2 is going to be like as well! Great video :)

Enjoyed the play through, but I dunno. It felt like it was designed by people with a really short attention span. Like they couldn't decide what kinda game they wanted to make. Despite this I'm looking forward to chapter 2 and hope they choose a theme and stick to it!

Like Clay is a pretty good indie horror game on itch.io if you’re looking for one. The ending is a bit lackluster, but the rest of the game is intriguing and done surprisingly well. It’s the same developer who did Bunker 16, so it’s a little bit older; I think John Wolfe did a let’s play on it around 2016/2017? Anyway, check into it if you’d like.

01:06:30 - It's remembered, at least to me, a mix of Silent Hill and SCP . Silent Hill into the parallel world(metal rusty environment) and the SCP's environment frame (scenario structure) with the staircase and chambers. Cool, I also like the indie games, this is pretty interesting! Thank you for had been brought us this amazing game, @CJUGames! Congratulations, lets go forward.

that tunnel boat ride is really something else, honestly. it's long and there's so much in it, I was very impressed by it! the jumpscares aren't all cheap, some parts are kinda spooky, good sound design, interesting story - I'm sold :D just that games that are super dark except for a small spot of light tends to give me motion sickness, ugh. too bad that's just a Thing lots of horror games do...

Yeah a new playthrough. Absolutely love it. 😁😁 Just finished Omnimusha on ps4 and have been playing The witness. Loving the puzzles. Close to platinuming. You would definitely do better than me on this game. Chris You are a master when it comes to puzzles.

You missed one of the first scares CJU. In the room with the furnaces, after you opened all three and noticed the bones in the middle one, you heard a slam. That slam was the middle furnace with the bones slamming shut on its own

I watched a gameplay recently called Remothered:tormented fathers ...or yeah..it was okay its a clocktower ish game...and nightcry was just horrible... If you havent tried playing either one..remothered is better
