I have box braids and people always ask me that. I always ask them in turn how they brush their hair and they always look at me really confused...I honestly don't get why people ask stupid questions like that.
Same! Everyone with short hair asks me, "how do you get your hair so long?" "How do you brush your hair?" I'm just like, umm idk, and uh, I just , brush it....

I'm a man trying to do a man-bun, but my hair is too long for the traditional single-half-way-pull-through technique used by 99% of man-bun wearers, so this video was perfect. Thank you! My hair is not long enough to use the full-hand thumbs-up shadow-puppet wrap, but I was able to use two fingers and wrap around those, then finish with an elastic, which worked perfectly. Thank you!
My hair is down to the back of my thighs, thick and curly. I've kept it in a single braid for years. Only problem is that the braid tends to get into stuff as I work and now that I keep my very young grandkids, it's a royal pain to keep out of diaper and fist range. Saw your video and with my hair in a braid, I tried this out. Failed first time as it didn't stay up, but second time I made my loop smaller and JOY!!! I've tried shaking my head to see if it would come out and it did NOT. Looked in bathroom mirror and it looked GREAT! woot, woot! And this is from a VERY "hair challenged" - as in it took me 3 YEARS to learn to braid it so looked decent - person. (For years, starting at nine until she left home at 19 my daughter wouldn't let me braid my hair myself. Yeah, it looked THAT bad. lol) So THANK YOU.

I was seriously considering cutting it because it was just getting too much to take care of..and my neck desperately wanted to breathe. Thank you for making this video. I loved a the extra pointers. It helped to understand and be able to do it on my hair without difficulty. Most of the time I watch videos over and over and still can't get it because they go to fast or there is no explanation. Yours is great!!! My hair is also longer then most people's so I am also really glad you made this for that reason too.

Thank you! I will have to give this a try! My hair is just just past my butt and hard to find big enough claw clips that don't hurt my head by the end of the day. And, I really dislike Bobby pins so I don't use them. Like others here in the comments have said, glad to see a bun tip demonstrated by someone with truly long hair.

This video was really helpful. I've always had super long hair. I mean, no where near as long as yours but... I mean, I can sit on it so it's pretty long haha. I've been struggling to put it up in a bun for a while but this video really helped :) also, the bloopers at the end were really amusing hahaha xx
I'm an old lady with long hair. I put my hair up this way too. People are amazed at how fast I can do it. I do have to put one or two bobby pins in it for all day hold.
I was messing around with my hair when I was little and ended up doing this. I tried to do it again, I couldn't figure out how I did it, so I eventually I gave up. It's funny that I found this video, it was really helpful.

beautiful hair and you are funny. about the bun...mine always gets a bit loose after a couple of minutes, always have to secure it in place with hair claws.

Lol great video! Your hair is lovely and you're funny! :) I used to have hair down to my butt when I was younger but of course I had to rebel and cut it shortish, then even shorter as I got older. Now my hair is natural (after years of dying it) and I'm growing it out again. Seeing your hair is great motivation, though mine is curly/wavy and length is harder to see, it's nice to see how it could possibly be in the future! :p

Finally! I have never done a bun cuz my hair is too long, but with this video, I can finally do it!, And I decided to add a little extra,cuase it worked, but I kept feeling like it would unravel, so where I tucked in the end of my hair, I added a hair ribbon just to secure it, and since the ribbon was showing, I tucked some if my hair to cover it and voila! Perfect secure bun :-P (btw I had trouble with the the part when you take one said of the loop and tuck it under and put the other side over it lol)
You're funny, I love your cats and you have beautiful hair. My hair is not quite as long now, but I know what bun you're talking about here. I'm still looking for a high messy bun for hair that is in the long range like our hair though. Mine is a little beyond tailbone.
I've got almost knee length hair (arguably, one overachieving tendril touches my knees, the rest is a couple inches behind), so I can almost guarantee that even with hair longer than that, you'll be able to use this bun. :)
