One thing I failed to understand is that even after the extensive training given by the best minds of the country at LBSNAA with the aim of implementing the law at the grassroots level and making the country corruption free and successful, has LBSNAA achieved its goals. No ride can be enjoyable unless the vehicle, road and driver are all up to standard.

UPSC has been generally failed in imparting the emotional intelligence in their selected and trained candidates. Very few officers with high EQ are there, most of the officers are frustrated with system and system is frustrated with them. It has been a deadly loop.

The allure surrounding the roles of IAS (Indian Administrative Service) and IPS (Indian Police Service) in India has reached excessive heights, fostering an unsettling atmosphere where some individuals in these positions begin to perceive themselves as deities, detached from the ordinary populace. It's disheartening to witness instances where certain IAS and IPS officers elevate themselves above the common citizenry, forgetting that they are merely individuals who have passed an exam after cramming from books. Their substantial government salaries compensate them for their duties, yet they're often glorified beyond measure. A concerning trend has emerged, wherein IPS officers, in particular, showcase their work through videos and photographs, sometimes even accompanied by photographers. This gesture, although intended to demonstrate their service, often comes across as a self-serving spectacle rather than genuine assistance to the public at large. Comparatively, from my perspective residing in London, higher-ranking officials exhibit a markedly different demeanor. They conduct themselves with humility and focus on their responsibilities without the need for excessive glorification. It's imperative to curb this culture of glorification surrounding Indian administrators, allowing them to redirect their attention towards their duties instead of indulging in self-aggrandizement. First time I saw full episode of guest in room program crux of interview is we should make habit to read books which encouraged to speak well before everyone with confidence.
Loved this. Like all the other long form interviews. Quite interesting and engaging. One thing I did not like was the story around his UPSC prep. He sounded quite blasé about his prep for UPSC but forgot later that he said he took English as grad subject was for UPSC. Same as RK Singh tried to sound cool about it.
