The Team Viewer account used in the video was for instructional purposes only. We changed the account used and type of authentication method used is MFA.

Thanks for sharing. I helped maintain remotely an ACC 85 in the late 80s, early 90s. The manuals were small books then; I can only imaging now. Take care.

I enjoy watching your videos!! I have two 300' tall GMRS repeaters and I have an older used Toughbook I leave in the rack as well which has actual serial ports in them to control the Quantars and the RTCM's remotely. It's SOOOOOOO nice to be able to do all this remotely. Since you have internet at the tower site, It's also worth looking into getting a couple watt boxes so you can actually control the power outlets remotely as well using the OVRC app on your phone or laptop. In both of my cases I even set up a schedule to turn the repeater off and force it to run on battery backup once a week for a few hours so that you utilize your batteries and don't just keep them all fully charged because that's not good for them. You could cycle them just a little bit by draining them 5 to 10% no big deal and that will make your battery back up last longer and more importantly it will test it out so that way you know when the power goes out that your repeater stays on and doesn't go down due to a failed battery that of course has been neglected. One last tip I'd like to give you because I'm an IT expert is that you have the TeamViewer ID in the video and that is a huge security risk in my opinion. Yes of course you have it set up with passwords and things of that sort but you need to go back and re-edit this video and either blur the ID out or cut it out completely.

@Robert Baldyga - Thanks for the catch on the Team Viewer account. We have already changed the authentication elements that were displayed in the video. As you mentioned in your reply, we are slowly adding remote capabilities to our sites now that we have internet access. Lot's of fun! Thanks for watching!

I'm running an arcom 210 myself on my repeater, I got my repeater on port 1 and got an link radio on port 2 for linking to another repeater. The arcom is a nice controller Kg5nub
