These don’t have any of the extra functions like the adaptive function or high beam assist. They just have the standard lighting functions. Low beams, high beams, DRLs, and Turn signals

Hey guys! Hope you enjoyed the video! Just wanted to say I forgot to mention the most important part of these headlights, which was the models they are compatible with. These are compatible with both original LED xenon (my headlights in the video) and original halogen Pre-LCI F30 2013-2015 headlights. Could also work with 16-18 F30 LCI halogen headlights. Original halogen headlights do not require you to transfer any module as a new module comes with the LCI headlights already installed so there is one less step of removing any module for halogen headlights. Comment any more questions or refer to the product listing page using the link in description for more info!

Hi I fixed these for my base model 320i 2015 model after I fixed these same headlamps you have in this video a few weeks later they began to flicker on their own they get bright and dim sometimes on their own even a to the point I got the lighting system malfunction error any idea why? I have changed my battery and my alternator is perfect no under or over charge some people said I should change the headlamp module under the steering while some say it needs coding please any suggestions?

I don't think its possible to install OEM LCI headlights on a Pre LCI. Either that or it may be difficult and requires a good amount of coding.

It is aftermarket. There are 2 different versions. One for original xenon headlights like mine in the video. And then one for original halogen headlights

I don't think so. It will function the same as however your original headlights are coded.

Hi I’m really interested in those headlights and I just wanted to ask a question do they come pre aligned/adjusted for visibility? And also it’s $1,000 for left and right headlight correct? Not just $1,000 each side. Please respond thank you. 🙏

They don't come pre adjusted. But you can manually adjust the height and left/right to get the visibility spread that you are comfortable with. And yes it'll be a pair both driver and passenger side.

This headlights go up and down like auto calibration when you start up the car or they stay still? Also can you lower the beam from the inside switch or not?

Yes they move up and down on start up. and you can only adjust the angle of the beam by manually turning the dial on the headlight using an allen tool shown at 26:40 in the video

Would you suggest swapping over the modules from (left to right, right to left) before hand? or try them out first as they came originally without swapping sides?

I originally didnt swap the modules and kept them on the same sides. But after connecting them the driver side DRLs wouldnt turn on so I ended up swaping the modules, putting the passenger side in driver side and driver side in the passenger side. This fixed the issue as the DRLs worked as normal after swapping. Never had another issue. So it shouldnt really matter which side there on but it might depending on if you have the same issue with one of the DRLs not working.

@@InlineSixAuto yes … Bmw triggers a code when it doesn’t detect halogen. Have to switch all of them to the LED.. some people switch them on the active in case they have to switch them in the future they won’t have problems

These are 437M wheels. They are staggered 19x9 ET27 in the front and 19x10 ET40 in the rear. They have 255/35 tires in front and 275/35 in the rear.

Hey I have a 2014 335i with adaptive xenon. I currently have 2 adaptive headlight malfunction codes for my drivers side headlight, end of story dealer wants 5k to replace assembly +modules to fix issue. Would these be the best replacement?I don’t want the adaptive headlight code either it really bugs me !!!

@@nathanop.Well these would need the modules from your original headlights. Is it the modules that I showed in the video that are damaged/not working? If not, these would be a perfect upgrade that would still be cheaper than that. You will get a malfunction warning like mine but it can be coded out with BimmerCode

Oh no these dont work with models that already have the OEM LED LCI headlights. they can only work with halogen LCI models. I would suggest just replacing the lens?

No extra parts needed. The halogen version will come with a new module already installed in the headlights. Just simply plug in and they will work as shown. Coding may be needed with BimmerCode to eliminate flickering from voltage checks. Some people have needed this.

Yes they still can work but you won’t have the adaptive function with these and you’ll probably get ‘adaptive headlight malfunction’ warning on dash like mine.

@@mabobber7408They are very bright just like the actual LCI headlights. And yes you can code the brightness and the other features with BimmerCode. I just recently coded the orange side markers off that were active with the low beams with BimmerCode. Unfortunately the Adaptive warning cant be coded out on Bimmercode but it can be coded out with another software that is quite a bit more complicated.

the hood and bumper gap is very bad, your car must have been in a collision. Anyways its old so its expected. Great video bdw

Just taking the bumper off and putting it back on could be the reason. Also he's got an aftermarket hood. Just needs adjustment by first loosening the bolts in the top of the bumper and moving it more back. Then adjusting the two hood stops. Mark a line and do a half turn and see how much it's moved and then keep adjusting accordingly.

It was bad in the first part of the video yes because it’s aftermarket hood and I just had it painted. However, I adjusted everything after I installed the new headlights so it looks a lot better in the end part of the video if you noticed. If that still looks bad to you then idk 🤷‍♂️😂 Also the car was pretty beat up when I first got it so and I’m sure it was in an accident at some point. But I did my best to get it looking better.

Pre lci is better aesthetic look (in bmw terms). New headlights is like Skoda or audi, looks fucking the same in traffic, especially with blue/white color.

Don't think it's that outrageous. They are actual plug & Play that don't require any extra wiring or coding for them to function properly as soon as you connect them. They come with every single lighting component already installed. They use the factory mounting points so they install exactly like the stock headlights. And they look identical to the actual LCI OEM headlights. On top of that, they've had no issues whatsoever. And most other headlights cost around the same price both OEM and aftermarket so it isnt anything unheard of. They are pretty good option for those who want the updated LCI look on their Pre LCI F30 headlights. Yeah its a high cost but you get what you pay for. If you don't have 1300 to spend then don't spend it obviously.

From what I've seen, there are a bunch of variations of these headlights sold by many companies. They could be the same or they could not be. And they might not be the same quality. But in the end, you guys are free to get them from where ever you'd like. @@JohnVu-ve6jg
