I bought this kit for a 2014 lml, the truck has been giving a low fuel rail pressure code and change fuel filter code. The code and fuel filter code still there. Why? Further info in the truck; dep delete, egr delete, the truck was throwing high rail code than one day pulling a heavy load the truck lost power and died on the hwy. cp4 changed and rail pressure regulator changed along with pressure relief, also changed turbo and changed turbo cooler tubes to 3”. Truck obviously has tuner with adjustable tune. Prior to changing turbo tubes it would randomly blow the hot tube off turbo. Upon investigation of the pressure code, we have determined via live data that fuel command pressure will rise to around 21000psi where the actual pressure will rise equally until about 18500 psi than it falls and holds around 17000. However if the regulator on the pump is unplugged the pressure will rise to over 21000. Changed the regulator with the one that was on old pump and it only delivers 183.5 psi. I am sure that was the issue for no start. But why the low pressure code and how do I get rid of the codes and issues, yet keep the truck
@@Tronn_TGDS have you figured your issue? Had this today on my lml bone stock low fuel rail pressure but all the power and feels how it should. I went out this morning about 5 degrees in Canada here, and fired up for 5 seconds and just cranked and cranked.. I reprimed the engine and she fired back up. I changed the fuel filter back in June and put on well over 30,000 km with no issue except for today.
This may be a stupid question but cant you just unplug the sensor and then plug the fooler in? I am having sporadic issues with my 2017 3500 duramax truck going into reduced power and it keeps throwing codes. When it goes to the dealer they keep saying they can't find anything wrong and the last time they said it was a "loose connection". Ready to pull my hair out trying to figure this out. It's been to the dealer 5 times now for this issue.
what are your engine codes? my 19 just hit reduced power then shut off. I'm getting crank but no start. got a few open circuit codes and a crank positions sensor code. tried a crank re learn and it fired up. shut truck off and now its just cranking again. in your case id start with replacing the fuel rail pressure sensor
