I am a Latter-day Saint. While investigating the shroud, I felt the unmistakable prompting of the Holy Ghost that it is a true image of Christ. Why unmistakable? Because it filled me with light and joy. By the way, the proper way to speak of years after Christ is to put the AD first. AD stands for Anno Domini or te year of our Lord. Example: In the year of our Lord 33 or AD 33. 😊
Hey Mom of 4! You are a catholic viewer! Awesome! I would love to have a small dialogue with you and pick your brain a little! I also wanna make sure we represent you well….Can you reach out on the website?
While I was on my mission a German lady sewed a patch into the back of my suit pant leg. My suit was wool with different colored stripes. I could not tell where the patch began or ended. Nuns in Italy hundreds of years ago were taught the technique of patching cloth like that.
The cloth was in a fire and was repaired. The base of the cloth is linen but the repaired cloth was Egyptian cotton. If that answers the question as to why the cloth was repaired. I have studied this cloth for years. There isn’t a piece of information that I haven’t read on it. I’m fully convinced this is the burial cloth of the Savior.
It's absolutely real. They can't figure out how the image was created and they can't even come close to recreating it. It's such a crazy relic. I believe if you don't believe it's real you simply haven't studied it enough. It's such a miraculous thing.
Hey Morgan. I just looked you up. Super-cool cleaning channel! Wanna do a crazy collaboration?! I have some funny ideas and your channel seems worth highlighting :)
I have been following this for years. I have gone from I think it is cool and interesting to follow. BUT as more things come out, I am 100% convinced it is really the burial cloth. These is so much more good info out there that you guys did not cover.
The thing is there is no theory that explains everything thoroughly. The burden of proof lies with the academics seeking to disprove the conventional explanation.
Awesome Episode Guys !! I heard many documenaries in the past 20 years on this Turin linen. It is an Amazing study. [My thoughts : on the injury to Jesus's hands, and with many statments on witnessing the wounds in or on his hands .... Please note that the word "wrist" was not used to describe this area, as oposed to using the word "hand" to describe the wrists & hand areas. It was the called the arm & hand, either it was one or the other. .... i think thr origins of the word "wrisf" is in the modern terms , in biology.] Great Episode , Great Panel of Guests and Great Show Cardin. - Dj Nosaj

The scripture that indicates perhaps that the shroud isn't the same as Jesus' shroud (also mentioned in this video). It says that there was a separate cloth wrapped about His head and that it was not with the linen clothes. It could be that the "napkin" about His head was over or under the shroud. So it's not entirely negated by this scripture, I guess. John 20 4 So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. 5 And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. 6 Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, 7 And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.
@@lukev483 That is why there is a large money reward for anyone who can replicate something similar. The scientists tried and couldn't do it. They know the process in which it was made, but don't have the tech to do it. You bring up a good point though. High energy photons could have come from the sun and imprinted the image on the cloth. But it would be a random scattering instead of a human form. Humans 200+ years ago had no method for making high energy high intensity photons (basically lasers)...and it dates back to at least 1300 AD.... given the many witnesses of angles/heavenly beings that are "super bright" the thing that makes sense the most, at least for now, is that it is a resurrection cloth from someone who was crucified. We know if wasn't only Jesus that was resurrected 2000 years ago.
The variations on the left and right sides of the face of The Pentocrator images you were discussing have deeper symbolic meaning. Although the shroud was originally in Constantinople so it is possible that the east orthodox icons symbolism originate with the shroud. It's an interesting theory.
@@Rudyard_Stripling Really? For real? You are actually claiming that the image on the Shroud is _not_ Jesus of Nazareth? And how in your 'personal 'experience' would you know this? Care to share? I have a feeling that you do not.
The carbon dating had to be removed from academic publishings because it was so flawed, that’s why it was in the news recently. 2018 I believe, I know quite a bit about it just from watching things. There are other dating methods they have used to date it back to that time period. Also the historical record goes further back than what this guy is saying if you do the research. A lot of other things can be said about it, including how it was most likely made which is interesting.
I’m a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I believe it is the true shroud. One reason for me is the crown of thorns. I only know one king with that crown. Also the fact that we as members of the restored church know a lot of the symbols are what we believe in. Also the fact that nothing could have made that image back in that time period. And other reasons. But for me yup it’s real my brothers and sisters.
@@williampaul7932 they didn't had time for a proper burial, but to bring a pitcher of water to wash him from the blood and dirt was the minimum they could do
@williampaul7932 search “History of the Shroud of a Turin- Barrie Schwortz.” Should be like a 90min lecture on “prophetic watch” channel with the Jewish technical photographer from the team that studied the shroud. Around 27min he talks about how the body - if it had been covered in blood - would probably not have made much of an image, because the blood seems to inhibit the image. He supposes it was probably given a wash of some sort, but also says there’s a lot of disagreement on that front.
HELLO MORMON! We would love to worship Jesus with you at Cornerstone Chapel, Leesburg VA. In person or stream 830am, 10am or 1130am EST !!! Check out how Christians love the Lord!
Something to think about. When as an almost 19 year old Marine I learned about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, there were several things that got my attention as one who had been raised in an around the other kinds of churches. Here is the question I knew I had to ask myself if I was going to be honest with myself: What if it really what it was purported to be, the Lord’s true and authoritative Church restored to the earth by the Lord in the last days in preparation for His Second Coming and one day I stood before the Lord having to admit that I had learned about the possibility of the existence of that Church, yet I had to admit that I didn’t care enough to truly find out for sure whether it was true or not. Something to think about. If you are one who lives off of your church and are wondering what will become of you, this is my recommendation: do the right thing, and trust in God
@@garrymoss8021 I was in the Air Force and began reading the Bible and taking lessons from a local mormon missionary. I was confused, because polygamy and secret masonic ceremonies seemed so evil. So, I prayed earnestly for a week, asking the Jesus of the Bible if He was true or Joseph Smith. Jesus answered me with a powerful demonstration of His Spirit, showing me that a person is saved only if he is born again by His Spirit through trusting in their heart that HE atoned for my sins and rose from the dead as my one and only true LORD GOD! God showed show Galatians 1, warning me against the teaching of Jospeh! Turn from the lies of Joseph Smith, and turn to the true Lord Jesus of the Bible. Trust in HIM alone, and HIS atoning sacrifice, as your personal LORD. End your rebellion to God by trying to become a god (the lie of Genesis 3).
@@kevinedward4195 That doesn’t make any sense. Why would the Lord reply to you with teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to tell you it isn’t true?
Not that it is a thing, but there are some who believe that the person in the shroud was Jacque DeMolay the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar. The down side of that theory is that DeMolay was burned at the stake in 1314 according to historians.
>looks European We really still aren't ready to accept that ancient figures may look different than present populations lol. Look up how related current Egyptians vs current Europeans are to King Tut
More than ten years ago or something I watched a broadcast about this. Very lengthy. I was affected and at least know that I “want” it to be His actual shroud.
I have no problem with it, if it truly is authentic, my testimony is not based on relics. However, when a body dies(the heart stops beating) it does not bleed. There is no way that the women who prepared Jesus’ body, even having to do so because the sabbath was upon them, would not have at least washed off the blood first. Since a body does not bleed hours after death, I don’t see why there would be blood running down the forehead as when he was vertical. Because we cannot explain it does not mean that it is real. But, like I first said, I have no problem with it if it truly is the burial cloth of Jesus. It just don’t feel that it is what God would bring to the world. JMHO
The heart does not pump blood when it is not beating. But a dead body sure as heck can ooze out blood out of any holes in the in it and Jesus' corpse sure had a few holes in it. When Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus got Jeus into the tomb there was precious little time to do anything at all as they had to stop by sundown for the observation of the Sabbath. He was laid on the Shroud and it was folded over him and nothing else was done before they had to stop. What blood was on him when he was brought into the tomb, or leaked out of him afterwards, is quite visible on the Shroud.
@@beverlyhurd8556 Beverly, you mean like the "water" that poured from His side when they speared His dead body to confirm He was dead? He had already bled out; there was no blood in Him to "leak out" afterwards in the tomb. Read the book, the whole book, old & new, it's all there. The good news is, He is very much alive, and will publicly come again. Peace & Love my friend.
@@davus4242 Wait a minute. Did someone tell you that he had bled out? When he was lanced in the heart the Bible says that water (pericardial fluid, actually) and blood came out. He did not die of blood loss. As the image on the Shroud proves, there was plenty in him left to stain the shroud quite a bit more. Do a bit more Shroud study and you will find that out for yourself. ✝
@@WARDRADIO Seriously?? "Please post a link to your podcast and show us how it’s done." Marketing mistake of a response, bro. Beware of pride, bro. Blinded by the light, you are, bro.
@annw1395 just search “Barrie schwortz shroud of Turin.” He’s the Jewish technical photographer who was part of the team studying the shroud. Lots of videos about the shroud (the LDS stuff is obv limited to this video 🙃)
Genuinely, raise the bar, think Celestialy, please don't make light(loud laughter). I am not a member. But your churches strength is greater with light over Caelrdin's impulsed comments. I talk to my 13y old son the same way.
So the way the shroud is folded, according to the picture you have using the hands of the clock 12 and 6 are the first fold with 3 and 9 now touching. Then the shroud was placed down and he was laid face down. Then it was folded over him with the bottom of the taco at his head. Something interesting is one of his hands has a double exposure. So it is like his spirit came in and he stirred.
He has a viper/snake skin belt. The one thing that concerns me was the carbon dating, but now that there was others saying its all over then it must be.
I have believed in the Shroud since the late 1960's when I purchased the book called A Doctor at Calvary written by a medical doctor who showed how every wound related to a scripture. When it was carbon dated to the 1200's in the 1980's, I said that later on, with more research, they would date it to Jesus' time. They realized the corner or edge samples used earlier were polluted by the oils from the fingers of priests who held up the Shroud throughout the centuries of public viewings. Jesus' arms look unusually long which is what happens when you are crucified. The artists' renditions of Jesus' eyes are not right as they discovered in the late 20th century that coins were placed on them. Blood was discovered to be type AB, same as the blood sample Ron Wyatt took from the Ark of the Covenant when he discovered it in a cave of one of the prophets which he later discovered was right underneath the spot were Jesus was crucified. Jesus' blood9 had dripped down a crevice onto the Ark. After the 80's, they discovered that the imprint of Jesus' face was recorded in a 3 dimensional way so that now they have a You Tube video of Jesus's face looking at us with eyes moving. Lately, they have even discovered that the Shroud portrays Jesus in a floating position as the rear image does not show a flattened butt as it would appear when a person is lying on it. Therefore it is believed to show Him resurrecting before rising through the front side of the Shroud. Now, they also found His name written on it. Where have you guys been? Also, the Shroud has pollen found only in Jerusalem. Regarding the aposles finding the Shroud folded, I heard one preacher state that Jesus did that as a sign He would be back. The disciples did see Him several times before He finally rose up to heaven weeks later.
Excellent summation. I’ve been looking at this too for the last few years…there are too many one in a million chances in this object that I can’t believe it is fake. Also you forgot that nowadays they could make a similar image, but they don’t have the lasers and power required to imprint an image that thin into the fabric. 😊
YOU ARE INVITED to come visit a Christian church this Sunday. In person or stream Cornerstone Chapel Leesburg VA !! There are 3 services in the morning 830 10, 11:45am EST
I think the possibility is there for it to be real. I'm reminded of the shadow of people imbedded on cement walls when we dropped the bomb on Japan. The light of the explosion burnt their shadow on rock. In my mind, it could be the same kind of process.
You guys should actually have someone who knows more about the topic. People of the Middle East are caucasoid and without color wouldn’t be distinguished from European. The team that studied the shroud did it in either 1978-9 . The bloodstains were actually proven to be blood of AB + type. Aside from the blood, there are no pigments or oils present. The image is extremely shallow on the fibers. The image has 3d information in it. To replicate the image with all the characteristics would require extremely bright light without producing heat which requires a great amount of energy. This image also has x-ray like qualities showing the metacarples of the hands.
Click-baity title. I get it -- RU-vid algorithm and whatever (I mean you got me to click). But the idea that the nails were driven through his wrists isn't exclusive to Latter-day Saints. Did I miss the part that actually vailidated LDS theology?
Yes. There’s explicit temple LDS symbology there, and there’s also a lot of anti-Mormon content claiming that the crucifixion didn’t happen and crucifixión wasn’t “through the wrist”. If you don’t fight these silly semantic anti-Mormon battles every day this may seem smaller.
I don't know if you are a Latter-day Saint, if you aren't I'll say that while the method of crucifixion is not unique to latter day Saints, it has special meaning to us in sacred temple ceremonies. Seeing it on the Shroud is cool.
I will be glad to subscribe, when you start leveling all mics and audio. Start recording/broadcasting in one level of volume; the technology to do so has been around for more than 40 years. The up and down volume, is quite annoying.
@@WARDRADIO What a cop-out, "sorry we are not good enough for you", ohhh boohoo. You can strive to make the sound stable and not annoying, or you can stay mediocre, whatever. Perhaps you should know that Jesus was a Middle Eastern Jew that was outdoors most of his life. Either working or spreading the word. He was weathered. And after the Roman soldiers got to him he was severely beaten over two days. Then he was scourged then he was tortured until dead. How good do you think that he should look?
Oh sure. It's a fake because, for real now, you _say_ it is? Can you possibly be a wee bit more precise as to why you think that it's a fake? I am guessing no.
Ummm… yeah… Jacob sent a video to her stake president and it caused a hailstorm. I don’t think it was the worst thing ever but I definitely wouldn’t have done it myself.
No. I don't believe this is Jesus. Isaiah says Jesus was beaten beyond recognition. His face would have been swollen and..... Isaiah 52:14 Just as there were many who were appalled at Him, His appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and His form marred beyond human likeness.
As _millions_ of us know, after Joeseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus took Jesus to the tomb they spent what little time they had before Sabbath forced them to stop cleaning his body. As the image on the Shroud _clearly shows_, he was horribly beaten, savagely scourged, had a cap of thorns smashed down on this head then he was crucified until dead. Patches of his beard were yanked out. How can anyone be dumb enough to think that this is not Jesus??
That is THE GODHEAD! Reflecting that, every Holy Temple has a Presidency. The Egyptians keep showing that ours is the oldest religion in the world. Adam was baptized! -Moses 6: 52.....
Bruh. There’s not ‘LDS’ symbolism in it, there’s corroboration with biblical and historical truths. Joseph smith proved himself to be a false prophet by biblical standards; that alone discredits all of LDS theology that wavers from legitimate scripture. Hope y’all can take a step back and see how the mormon church has distorted the Gospel and tried to pass it off as Christianity.
@@WARDRADIO you don’t think the apostle Paul would have a strongly worded letter for the mormon church if he was here? Literally an ‘angel’ came and gave Joseph a different gospel, just like Paul warned about. I also agree with Paul that pastors should be paid for their service in the church.
