It's not a fretless. It's a 1 fretted bass.

how do you like this Le Fay? Tell me in the comments!

I like this sound. Sooner or later every bassist would desire a fretless. With me it is about now.

This demo sold me on steel fretless fingerboards. I have a fretless with a plain old ebony fingerboard, which is nice I suppose, but it's difficult getting that Jaco tone because Jaco used a much harder epoxy finish. Steel sounds just like it and you don't have to put a new epoxy coat on all the time...

I want the 5 string. Someone lend me $8000.00, I'm mostly good for it.

not sure if it's the exact same type of stainless steel, but the concept is definitely the same

Why pay thousands for a bass like this. I will bond a thin stainless steel plate to my fretless neck, for just a few £££. Job done.

It sounds so cold. The metallic fingerboard has a cruel lack of mwha.

I’d actually say the opposite. These steel fretboards sound incredibly warm

I'm wondering how well one of these steel fretboard fretless basses would sound /pair up with a quality set of tapewound strings?

Should tame the bright a little. Personally if I had the 8 grand I'd slap some D'Addario Chromes on her.

Sounds great! My only issue might be the neck width as I've quite small hands for a bass player. Unlikely I'd be able to try a second-hand one before buying otherwise it'd be top of my to-buy list.

Love the sound of this bass! Is the fingerboard made from the same material as the Vigier fretless guitar Guthrie Govan plays sometimes?

Just play the harmonic and gently slide it :) works quite easy on fretless..

Nice sound! But what about hot or cold enviroment?Won't metal be affected at least more than wood?

You can get the same sound with a hard epoxy on the fingerboard.

Sounds great & there's no doubt of this young man's ability & that certain ways of playing the bass guitar should be shown as I understand they want the customer to hear as many various styles as possible but it did nothing for me until about 58 seconds in as thats what a bass guitar is for & that's feeling the groove & playing it on your bass guitar... Sure harmonics are great & they sound wonderful played cleanly or sliding a harmonic along a particular string to give that sound of the harmonic rising up or down the fretboard... I also recommend you learn as many genres as you want to or can but at the end of the day I'm seeing bassists doing all these unusual styles of playing & it's great to see that there are still young male & female bass players keeping the bass guitar relevant all the while take it further & further with new innovative styles but let's not forget that the bass guitar should be about a groove that makes one move... Like I've said it's great to see the bass guitar along with other popular instruments being played impeccably but I see too many playing by themselves & thats fine if you want to show off your skills but these instruments were built to play yes alone , but within a band environment & I've rarely seen that many if any bands on RU-vid just all playing together , whether it's to play a cover of a song or playing their own material as let's face it RU-vid doesn't reach millions but billions worldwide on a daily basis & until musician's start playing together to kick start the Music Industry again , then we are always going to see such talent go to waste... Yes I also know that many of these bassists play their own music & make albums (most of the time) by themselves as it's easy to lay down and synthetic instrument sound down on top of what they are playing & alot of these synthetic sounds are now difficult to tell from synthetic to the real deal... Then there's recordings innumerable amount of real sounds from different drum kits at different tightness & as many various recognisable bass guitars along with other string instruments & recording everyone of them & storing them to used without every really needing to set up a drum kit , as all the need to do is program these beats in & away they go but I prefer the old fashioned way of being either a solo artist or in a band & creating music together as we have advanced so far technologically with how we can create music while at home or in a studio... Never has there been a better time fir solo acts & bands to form & as I said earlier kick start the Music Industry into life again as there were certain factors for how music as a form of expression by solo acts & bands died away but there are billions world wide who still want to see bands live & hear new music as this BS with so called Talent Dhows has over ran it's well welcome ; if it can only find 1 Winner per season then that's a huge failure in my opinion as Manager's of old could find top talent every week but hey its your life but I can't stand to see that music that made you want to dance or moved you inside is not back to being the norm as there's next to no one to stop your from achieving your goals but then again if it takes only 10,000 copies to get a Number 1 Hit then I'm wasting my time as you used to have to sell millions in a daily basis... It's just not right , all these amazing players but most wany to play on their own but then again you can only make a market for something if the masses want it & it appears that since the end of the 90s no one appears to want to buy singles from solo acts & bands & then the joy of seeing them Live... Well I only came on to say I liked it when this bassist plated a bass line with a great punchy groove & inwent off on a tangent... In light of this still ongoing coronavirus and it's variants stay safe and healthy wherever you are in this world... .....
