Le Havre in about 3 minutes 

So, this is Stephs video and like all her videos she does all the work herself. My thoughts on Le Havre are that its just freaking great, a really rewarding engine builder where you go from struggling to put 2 fish on the table to selling stacks and stacks of it. Gold medal game. PS, watch past the end sequence for a bonus feature!

Thank you, Steph! I have never played LeHavre. All I know is that it was an early Uwe Rosenberg sensation. The closest game I have played is Harbour by Scott Almes, which has a similar theme but does not really qualify as “LeHavre lite.”

I know it's an old video, but... Correction from page 8 of the manual of the overhead text at the 1:20 mark : "The lowest value available building is built, OR a special building if there's an anchor". The city builds a normal or a special building, not both.

Man, just played Le Havre for the first time last night. 3P game. LOVED IT. The mechanisms are silky smooth and downright simple but the decision space you have to play with every turn/round are phenomenal. Also loved the way this game essentially vomits resources at you. That’s poor phrasing but it just FEELS SO GOOD. Glad I finally got this one off the bucket list and can’t wait to play it again. SOON.

Nice video!! I, as a non-native english speaker, enjoyed the more gentle pace of it! Le Havre was my first euro, I got to it unaware of all the hype and author. Played the first time with my wife and mother and, oh boy, it was a mess!!! So many people to feed! It was our baptism of fire! I think the blame is on my not to know (and teach) how to play well the game. It is a punishing game for beginners. ps.: I enjoy Stephs humor!!

Fantastic video for an absolute gem of a game! While I usually turn to board games to escape screens, the iOS app has become the defacto way to play in our house.

I just got le havre the inland port on steam. It's not a two player le havre; it's a completely different game

If only all customer services managers were that adorable! I've only been able to play Le Havre once so far, at my board game club's Christmas party a few years ago. I played it with the club president's wife - it's her favourite game funnily enough. As usual, I learnt to play in French and this time in a much noisier atmosphere than normal, seeing as it was the Christmas party! So I had a fairly hazy grasp of the rules for the first round or two but I think I got there eventually. I'd love to play it again sometime, I'd need to relearn it though. I've got the Inland Port app but struggled to learn it as the tutorial is absolutely awful, I think that I tried to go through it last year when I was really deep in the brain fog which probably didn't help much either :-)

My problem with this game - the solo is BYOS and I hateeee BYOS, thus the game seems one time to me once you win in solo there is nothing to go back to it All the solo playthroughs seems cool but again BYOS is a big pass for me for solo

Games looks ugly as hell. I played it. I got stomped. And I still enjoyed it. Quite a remarkable game.
