Couldn’t agree more👍 The FFB in LMU is fantastic, and I play AMS2; ACC; AC, RF2 and AMS2. Apart from RF2, it blows the other sims away.

Most of high profile simracer is saying that the ffb is very vague/dull on the limit grip. To make an example you can keep turning the wheel f1 24 style and you don't feel any difference in ffb.

@@maxieboy It's more vague than in rF2 since they fixed the excessive slip angles from which some ffb was coming. But coming from rF2 I can still feel and understand what the car is doing. And when I go try ACC or iracing, the ffb is extremely dead there. Nils Naujoks keeps saying things but I just cannot understand since he comes from ACC where I personally really cannot feel anything.

@@jernejsim I’ve never liked ACC, doesn’t feel like even driving a car to me. iRacing has a very weird implementation of FFB, but at the same time it’s low resolution because of the sampling rate. AC/AMS2 are actually quite ok. Mostly I’ve heard positive things about the LMU FFB, and I agree that it’s very good. But hey, I’m no pro, it’s just my personal opinion.

Ams2 just doesnt cut it when it comes to tyre physics. way too slidey

I bought it because they said VR was coming. There's a command to force it already. How long could it take? I want to support a company making that kind of content. Months later...silence. Yes, I'm dumb.

The VR is unomptomized. Running a 14th Gen Intel processor with a 4080 and 32GB Ram. It runs and looks like crap

@@spraynardkruger6426 Come on, they were very clear that it wasn't their highest priority and never put a timeline on the VR support. If you've ever actually tried the command to force it, you'll know that it's with a bunch of caveats. If you bought it thinking it was coming super soon after release that's something you told yourself.

​@@simonoregan4744 It doesn't run like crap in my experience. It's on a par with AMS2. The aliasing makes it look pretty rough, but everything apart from fences and track edges (where aliasing really stands out) looks great. At least as good as anything else on the market, I'd say.

Real cars often are lacking detail in the steering and it doesn't matter because in real life you have Gforces that let you feel what the tires are doing.. Guess what sims don't have.... That's right Gforces ! I wonder if a RU-vidr that has been doing sim content has maybe also spoken with real world race drivers 🤔. I wonder if real world race drivers also have different opinions 🤔 Could it also be that quite a few real drivers don't spend that much time on sims because they are busy with real driving so maybe are less critical or aware of specific things 🤔. Could it be that they generally often see sims as so abstract from real driving they are often also less aware or critical of certain things 🤔. Could it be that real drivers would also point out the same specific details but maybe for promotional content or online statements they keep things simple because it would be to nuanced for short media content 🤔. Could it be that some people reduce sim driving into more of a rote process and can drive from visuals or the process and subtle FFB is not required for fast lap times 🤔 Could it be some people can drive at pace with a wheel or gamepad or no FFB at all and still be fine 🤔 Nah non of the above , ignore any specific points that are very clearly testable and super obvouse unless there is some argument from authority telling you what to think 👍

@@GamerMuscleVideos Could it be that you just cannot handle the fact that someone questioned your opinion with their opinion? Could it be that your take on ffb isn’t gospel and it annoys you more than anything else? Could it be that your “constructive criticism” is always hidden behind layers of backhanded comments and sarcasm akin to that of a teenager? Could it be that ffb is entirely subjective to personal preference and your interpretation of it? Nah nah it’s probably that you’re just right and everyone else is wrong.

RF2 also has issues with detail for limit , but most simracers don't know how good FFB in AC is or drive from rote memorisation and don't realise it. ACC also has bad ffb in this regard iRacing also has no FFB for braking. again most simracers don't realise they are driving off visuals. Lots of simracers allso confuse suspension compression with feel for the brake limit and are also super impressed with vibrations rather than information that convays the slip of the tire with detail.

Glad you enjoy it , It has no dynamic range for the limit though similar issue ACC has. Your lucky you don't know whats missing

@@GamerMuscleVideos Yea I always struggled with the ffb feel in ACC(or maybe it's just the horrible braking feel killing it for me) and prefered the RF2 in comparison. AC ffb is great though. However I often notice fanatec drivers prefer ACC over iracing/rf2 while simucube owners prefer iracing/rf2 over ACC. Any truth in that you think?

You've never heard of games like Escape From Tarkov then. More power to you, but Early access price tags are the new norm sadly and have been for a LONG time now. Personally I think paying an extra $50 for the full 2024 content update is worth it. Thats a LOT of extra content that is top notch quality. You wont get the chance to drive these same cars on any other sim.

AC Evo and LMU are not comparable. Just as AC Evo and ACC are not comparable.

while you wait for ACE, people have been enjoying LMU since february for 30 Euros/Dollars.

@@mordtefpv5896 I think they’re going for the mp focused approach to compete with LFM and iRacing. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t do a career at all. Really thins out their offering and puts all their eggs n one basket.

They sorted it quite quickly. I think I know the issue you mean. It happened when I first tried the game. Was resolved by S397 quite quickly. I think it was the video in the background slowing everything down because my PC was fine until a car entered the track from the pitlane.

Which racing series ever invested in their game? They charge for the license no more, no less.

@@andreas2241 Yeah but WEC is more niche so.. at least enough to get a proper game and they don’t have to sell DLCs in early access since they don’t have a large publisher like EA etc.

come on - they just need more money ;-) they were not able to finsh rfactor2 programming even after 10 years. Now Motorsport Games and Studio 397 installed a new DLC policy to just give it a new name and sell it as LMU.

I have similar problem. Had game for 4 months und have been able to successfully log in to actual game play 3 times; usually it scheiße itself und crash at menu screen. Uninstall-reinstall und play once then pattern repeats.

The content has been fully listed out. What aren't you clear about? The stuff about early access and risk I agree with. I'm happy with the way it has gone, but after years of rF2 I wasn't expecting fundamental things like FFB to change any time soon. I can see how that might not be the case for everyone.

@@justpostedagain Oh happy for you to inform us and post details of each and every DLC, with their respective content in term of cars, tracks and features as well as their respective prices. Do that before 2025 though.

@@kevinhadj82 I don't understand. The cars, tracks and total price (assuming it is 25% more than the season pass) are all on their website/Steam. Or do you mean that you don't know which specific hypercars, for example, will be in Pack 2? I guess that's true and for you maybe that's a deal breaker. I assume they'll all be fun to drive in/around and part of the WEC 2024 roster, so am not that fussed personally.

@@justpostedagain You used twice the word "assume" to explain us the content, that should be sufficient proof that it is far from clear. Just check the store page again and give us the so crystal clear details you understand in "one track and two cars", next batch is suposedly in less than 90 days, they should be able to give the details by now, right ? Just so you now, that lack of clarity could be driven to court in some countries that actually protect consumers. They are walking a very fine layer of ice and can be happy that there is no more than a couple thousands people (or should I say cult followers ?) that are ready to spend money on this.

@@kevinhadj82 Seems like standard practice for season passes, to provide outline but not detailed info. My membership of the cult is based on my experience of S397 with rF2, but I can understand why others might not be so trusting. Anyway, let's leave it there and see how things turn out. I'm enjoying my time with it at the moment, at least.

Yes, they are used in the online system and you need to own the track to take part in those races.

As said, you need to own the tracks but not the other cars on track, besides the car you are racing. Thatswhy they offer the BMW M Hybrid for free and two yet to be released GT3 cars so that you still will be able to take part in online races with 2024 season cars atleast. Here is me hoping that they still offer something like a 2024 track DLC or something similar for people who are a bit short on money, but then again, I just go with the individual DLCs because I prefer it over the season pass structure where I pay for stuff that isn't there yet. Yes, it's a bit more expensive but GM made a pretty good point about this whole DLCs discussion.

Wait until then, we will have fun here :)

As sim racers we have very few options. And it takes forever to finally get a new title. If we want this game to survive and evolve then we must support it!

Nothing is wrong with my wheel , I just know what I'm talking about as a person that owns 12 ffb wheels and plays sims all day long for 10 + years.

​​@@maxieboy I have done games development , game design and sold multiple games. being stupid on RU-vid is way more fun and easy. I talk to developers all the time developers sadly watch my channel and bang bricks against there head. Sim development is hard and there are often time constraints and technical reasons or subjective design decisions as to why games are how they are. People enjoy my channel because I say things how they are and am direct with feedback , coming from the perspective of someone that's been around sims for decades spending hundreds of not thousands of hours with most sims on the market.

Did you try to calibrate your ffb with an ffb overlay? Just with one of your multiple wheels? (Happy for you)

AC Evo and LMU are completely different. If there's a comparison to be made ACC vs LMU makes much more sense.

you are aware the people that make tracks and cars aren't the ones bug fixing right? cars and tracks can be made while vr is being worked on

As if they had a choice... small team, limited resources.. they have to make choices. whether you are a fan of vr or not (I am an exclusive VR player) doesnt change the basic laws of economics. Vr is a small group of users. we barely matter. sad but true. and people dont work for free. even a child can understand this.

I don't play ACC because the VR is so poorly implemented, whereas I can live with the anti aliasing in LMU and have been having a great time racing online in VR. So there is that.

Of course, there is probably little overlap. What does it change? They are selling a DLC while a bunch of people cannot play the game...... Of course, we could play the game, but on that note, you could play the game on a controller or only 16:9 supported. Is it an invalid argument?

It does contain the full car and track list of the 2023 season as advertised. The 2024 season is still in progress. It was quite rare in the case of early sim titles that they featured the present season. Anyway, I do agree that it does not worth buying it right now especoally the season pass as I still think the financial situation around MSG is a bit sketchy.

Because they have to earn money. It’s as simple as it is. Otherwise they are not able to survive the shitstorms they get from the sim racing world. People defend the iracing price policy but aren’t willing to pay 46 euros for 13 cars and 4 tracks.

@@ScholliUlz Not me I had iracing but realized that it's way to expensive. For LeMans it's just that I didn't know game beta could have add-ons.

Its not there yet but you can play in VR with +VR consol command. UI is not working in VR but in racing it is fine.

@@blagger1975 Oh shit that's some great news. I never had problems with lack of AA as you can render higher res instead but was put down because of lack of online. Time to download again I guess. Any forum posts or similar for configuring VR? Do I need +VR -OpenXR flags?

@@blagger1975 Interesting, but you don't have access to the HUD, so can't even adjust pitstops I assume.

Its with all cars on all tracks and was before this DLC , RF2 also has simular issue but its not as noticable due to it having wide controlable slip or cars with more suspention travel that masks the lack of limit feel. Lots of simracers don't notice these things as they have never played AC1 with a properly configured wheel to see how much detail it has in its ffb.
