Olga Kuchynska and Christian Gerhaher are two of my favourite classical singers and to see them in one production is amazing! Unfortunately, I don’t have the chance to see them live in Munich but thank you for the excerpts you upload 😍

I could never have enough of Christian Gerhaher, the best baritone in the world. His beautiful and elegant style turns anything he sings into gold. Undoubtedly, one of the best Counts Almaviva, beside Thomas Allen.

The technique, he's not that that top level, but I like so much he's musical details... those things I guess it's the reason we love Mozart.

Gerhaher is a phenomenal Almaviva. Also I may be biased (gay) but making Cherubino apparently flat out a lesbian is a strange but not unwelcome directing choice.

Opera is not about having a good voice. I think everyone can be impressed with the opera because of the world view of the time when it was composed. Costumes have a lot to do with the world view. With the suits and modern dresses of those days, there is no fragment of the world view at the time of composition. The stage of the old opera was wonderful, but why did it become such a terrible production? Mozart will be disappointed in heaven.
